i actually love savonas. the lady who runs/owns it is a total sweetheart and this review does not reflect her or really any of the older staff. however, the young men who worked saturday (6/20/26) did a horrible job w my sandwich. i had a friend place my order and pick up. not only did they burn the bread, they also didn't put enough condiments on either. and they gave me a pathetic amount of avocado. they should be removed so they don't ruin savonas reputation. 🤷🏽‍♀

Savona Deli is our favorite for Friday date night. Upon entry, we’re greeted with the smell of Italian food and music. Maria and her incredibly devoted staff make up the Savona Family who embrace the customers as extended family members — always welcomed in their house. Last night service was slow but so worth due to a new trainee. Our sandwich came out crispy and toasted cut in three the way we like it (2/3 for my husband and 1/3 for me). Savona Deli is an absolute gem in Bel Air. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and feels like a little slice of Italy the moment you walk in. Our food was outstanding! I got a meatball panini and my husband got the toscana panini; we both left very full and happy (I even had plenty of leftovers for later!).
