This restaurant does not even deserve a negative zero. First of all the waitress was rude and behaved as if she is not being paid. She served food without asking if we wanted drinks or serve the food with water. We had to asked for it. Will never dine here or refer anyone to such a shame.
Drove all the way from Fairfax, VA on 727.25 at 3:20 pm and it was closed, lights off 🤷🏾♂️

Have always had a great experience here. I’ve had dinner here several times dine in, take out and even had a birthday sip and paint event that was amazing. I remember a hiccup in planning the event occurred and the owner was so accommodating once brought to her attention, which goes to their great customer service. Excited to see they are now catering.

where do i begin. Lounge looked like it was still under renovation. AC was out!!! it’s super hot inside the lounge. The two cashier barely spoke anything they were whispering literally.
Let’s get to the menu and food. First off the pricing is not accurate!! Menu says Suya with jollof $18.99 i got charged $22.99 ??? A big sign on the door says make your own Suya $18.99 and the you can’t even order that online the website keeps saying (page not found)!!
Food was below average. I paid $92 for two people. ordered two Suya and jollof & Eugsi soup one order of fried plantain and a side of extra jollof. Meet was dry (and i always eat african food) not new to African cuisine. Meat should not be that chewy. rice wasn’t that much for $22.99. i think for you should be more generous with your portion since you are charging $22.99 a plate.
The Egusi soup was also below average. a very small portion with two chuck of small meat and big chunk of Cow feet with absolutely no meat.
i would def not come back. i suggest you try other African places who can provide bigger portion and better quality meat.

The cassava leaf was delicious I think the egusi wasn’t seasoned well.

This place is okay but I don’t know if they changed their suya recipe. I ordered suya one time and it tasted so bad I had to trash it. I think it’s cause they used too much nuts which is weird cause I’ve never heard of peanuts in suya. Also, I tried to give them a second chance by ordering suya pizza online but it was not cooked fully like what was the rush, why wasn’t it cooked fully. Anyway I’m never buying at this place again

I was craving Achu and after searching online, I found out I could order at Miya. The Achu was good and satisfied my cravings 😋 . 4 stars because there was no air condition and the price online did not match the price in store. I had their suya years back and it was great. I'll go again probably for Ekwang, follow rice and suya......

I was seriously craving Cameroonian food, and Miya Lounge and Restaurant did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken suya bowl with fried rice and a side of red beans and stew, everything was packed with rich, authentic flavor. The food was seasoned to perfection, and the spices really hit the spot.
One minor hiccup: the suya onions were missing which is a part of suya. However, the owner responded quickly and professionally, issuing a refund without hesitation, which I really appreciated. My only small critique is that I would have liked the chicken to be grilled a bit more for that extra char, but the flavor overall was still very satisfying.
Great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
The food was a 10/10. My fiancé and I both had the beef suya bowls which included jollof rice, collard greens, spinach and plantains, soooo delicious! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for the egusi soup and suya pizza.
The Khati Khati, and collard greens were fabulous. However, the fufu wasn’t what I’m used too as it was rather mushy. But all in all the food is delicious and I may return.
Run 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ this place and food was nasty and people are very unwelcome. Food was nasty no flavor and I don't feel like I was eating jamaican food. 😒
Atomosphere is out of this world and the owner is kind and accommodating.
But the food though
Honestly 100000/10 would recommend
From the Suya to the eru omg !
Love this place
