We had a fantastic time on the tour and tastings at Shmidt Spirits. The vibe is fun, relaxed, and welcoming, and the owners, Arthur and Brian, are truly wonderful — great conversation, great energy, and so much passion for what they do. The custom cocktails were a blast to make, and we loved being able to get creative with the flavors.
They even surprised us with drinking glasses for my birthday, which made the visit extra special.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!

My favorite spot to go to every weekend to relax Unwind! Best Whiskey in Maryland! Great atmosphere Brian and Arthur are Awesome and real down to earth! I highly recommend this distillery, small Gem in beltsville! You guys will not regret it!

If you're a whiskey nerd or love distillery specialty cocktails this is definitely a place to check out. Their whiskey is young but they are putting out some amazing distillate and taking it to great places with finishes and grains local to Maryland. I especially loved their port finished rye, rum finished rye, and Maryland style rye made with Maryland grains. For cocktails I loved their "margarita" which was made with their rye that was aged two days in Chardonnay barrels. Owners man the bar and love to talk about what they're doing, which with great spirits makes for a great experience.

We were very impressed with the tasting room selection from this small distillery and ended up purchasing a bottle of Cobalt and Bourbon. I highly recommend you go and try the Shmidt Spirits experience.
