Attended the holiday luncheon today. OK at best. Food was average, service average. No holiday decor except for a few pointsettia plants and half needed water. Gotta believe there's better italian food in Bethesda.

We had a really nice celebratory brunch at Aventino last weekend. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Julio was a very attentive server and Aniris in management made our experience extra special with some nice birthday touches. This will be our new birthday spot - it was perfect.

I love the incredible menu and ambience of Aventino, but only 3 stars due to the fact that it is almost impossible to have a conversation. If the noise problem could be fixed, it would be a 5 star review.

Aventino Cucuna checks the boxes for all of the basics (perfectly al dente pasta, a solid negroni) but excels with outstanding service and a mastery of the sauces to compliment what they have on the menu.
We sampled the trout, lemache, ravioli, ricotta, and gelato. Great flavor for all.
We had two birthdays in our party, and the mini canoli they brought to us we're actually one of my favorites. A trio of those would make a fine dessert.
We'll be back again to try the ASAP happy hour.

I’m not usually one for a review but the service and food was AMAZING. I was so pleasantly surprised. The portions were perfect, the drinks were good, the dessert was delicious, the staff was SO NICE and attentive; couldn’t ask for a better place to spend the evening catching up with family. The noise was a little loud but I didn’t mind and we didn’t have a problem. Love it and will be returning!!

I love this restaurant. My wife and I have made it a ritual to visit it on Saturdays for their amazing happy hour. Their food has always been delicious and their service is impeccable (especially at the bar; ask for Joseph!). We’ll always be back and look forward to it!

Food was good but selection limited. Service was great Anna our server was delightful. The manger walks around no smiles like he is mad at the world. He makes you feel like you are lucky to be there not happy to see you!
The food was good but small overpriced portions. The worst aspect was the service considering the prices charged. We were rushed through our meal - our server frequently cleared the dishes without checking if we were done, was interrupting frequently to have us pass up very utensils and glasses, didn't bring olive oil when requested, and seemed overall surly. We all agreed he seemed frustrated we were not ordering more food for a group of 5 (two apps, some bread, five pastas, 4 cocktails, bottle of wine, two desserts). It's such a disappointment to pay over $100/person and feel hungry and like you've been hounded throughout your meal. And it's so loud you are really shouting to each other.

This place looked nice online but the food was not good. Literally every plate we ordered had peanuts or other types of nuts that ruined the whole Italian flavor the dishes are supposed to have. I would rather have Olive Garden than this food… and I am an European. Very disappointed in the food. Atmosphere is ok, but for the price it did not have that “fancy” vibe with handmade plates, every plate had strange choices of ingredients that you were not able to opt out, etc.

Amazing food and amazing staff! Standouts include cocktails, Tuna Crudo (Special for the day), Risotto Croquette's, Clam Spaghetti, and the flourless chocolate cake. Amazing. Also highly recommend trying the amaro flight, just skip the fernet if it's your first try! Great service.

Absolutely incredible. If you’re anywhere near Bethesda, make it a point to stop in. The pasta is divine, and the desserts? Purely transcendent.

Love this local gem! The pasta is incredible and fresh and homemade! The one area we always hope they expand is the dessert menu - they need some different options. We always go with a group and we all skip dessert as it isn’t too exciting. But dinner and drinks is always amazing. They also have a lovely bar !
