Always a horrendous wait. Never less than 10 minutes. Often 15-20. Ordered a bagel with butter 10 minutes ago. Still waiting. Good food but terrible wait times.

My wife and I come here for bagel sandwiches for Lunch which are OK and good, Our bill is close to forty dollars. Why don't you have Americans working at bethesda bagels? We are sure you are paying your employees well. We are going to stop coming here!

I don't know the name of the got who helped us, but Omg, this was a great experience. We ordered 7 bagels, and all were different. Not one bagel was wrong.
We arrived just before the high school rush, and it took maybe 8 minutes to get our food.
This place gets a 10 out of 10 because I'm a New Yorker who ate a toasted bagel with cream cheese and jelly almost every day of high school.

Ugh, not sure what happened this morning. I was in the shop for 25 minutes total (line plus food prep time) to get a toasted bagel with flavored cream cheese plus a plain untoasted asiago bagel. The asiago bagel is overcooked and not worth eating. And the toasted bagel with cream cheese took forever to receive, but when I got it you could tell it had been rushed through the toaster--the cut outer edge was charred but the inside didn't get warmed. I've always liked coming here but this may have been my last visit...total bummer!

I’m from New Jersey and my first job was at a bagel shop, and this is the best classic bagel shop in the DMV (though nothing can truly match NJ/NY, sorryyy).
Highly recommend any breakfast sandwich, the chive cream cheese, and the nova sandwich (with chive CC, lettuce, tomato, onion, capers) but it’s hard to go wrong here.
service is also great and large order catering is never wrong (though it's usually ready earlier than the time you specify so plan accordingly). prices are very reasonable.

Good bagels and sandwiches, but if you order a sandwich for take-out, check your sandwich before you drive away. I've gotten 3 orders now that were wrong. 2 of them were when my sausage, egg, and cheese was missing the sausage. Once is fine, honest mistake. But 3 times, and constantly one of the main parts of the sandwich? Save yourself the frustration I've felt and check your bag before you go, or try any other breakfast spot.
