The food was great, as always. We were disappointed with the service this time, however. Waiter misunderstood our instructions regarding the order of service, so one person got her food way before others, and another person got both plates at once. This was not our usual experience, so we will be back in any case.

Black's Bethesda is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. We booked a late lunch for an important conversation and requested a quiet corner. Hostess had noted our request, and put us well away from the few groups that were talking loudly. By the time we finished, we were the only customers still in the restaurant. I am extremely impressed with the service and the chef at your restaurant! My colleagues and I made quite the journey, driving all the way from West Friendship (area), MD, and Upper Marlboro, MD, just to dine here, and it was absolutely worth it. One particular incident stood out to us. Tomato soup was on the menu, and Ingrid, my colleague, wanted to order a grilled cheese to accompany her soup.
