Nice deli! The sandwiches could be a tad bigger but they are pretty good otherwise! Like coming here after my pharmacy visits next door.

It's an old deli style liquor store also selling basic groceries and run for 50 years now. An historic institution which has it's charm. But tends to be overpriced compared to Safeway across the street. Sandwiches are good but not amazing and a bit pricy, hence 4 stars. Worth an extra trip? No. But definitely works for a quick bite when you are around anyway. Staff is friendly.

It's a solid deli ! Corned beef king has the edge over here for the Reuben but it's still a good sandwich. You can get cake and all sorts of other things here. I liked visiting.

I purchased an order on DoorDash and mistakenly placed it for pickup instead of delivery. Just seconds after I placed the order I realized the mistake. I immediately called the store (per instructions from DoorDash) WELL before the order was prepared. After 3 unanswered calls, on the 4th attempt to call, I was placed on hold for 15+ minutes. I spoke to a rude and dismissive customer service representative who told me it’s not the store problem and the order was already made. To make it more insulting he then hung up on me!

I am incredibly disappointed with the way I was treated. Regardless of how busy the store was, I expected to be treated with respect and offered assistance. I will NEVER be ordering from this store again!

They don't know how to melt cheese on bread or the appropriate amount of mustard to put on a hot dog.

A note from a friend:
I have been coming to your store for over 28 years. Lovely people, courteous and helpful staff and always great sandwiches. Today as usual ordered my favorite Mozzarella and tomato sandwich. To my surprise for first time the baguette was very old and chewy. I know by my long time experience you always have fresh begets, but the one I got it was at least few days old.
Your long-time customer, Thank you for serving our community for long time.

They don't put prices on anything. How much does this beer cost? Does it cost $11? Does it cost $20? Does it cost $62,000?

The fact that they're too lazy to hit stuff with a price gun should tell you all you need to know. If they're cutting a corner that large, God only knows what's happening in that kitchen. I'm certainly not willing to find out.

I ordered a Matzoh ball soup. It was delivered. It only took 10 minutes. The soup was ice cold. I called and was told. We ran out of hot soup. sometimes they do that. No offer to replace it or anything.

Their Italian subs are amazing.

Sandwich choices were excellent for deli selection. The “day of the week” choices are alway really good and they have a chip selection that is over the top!! The staff were really cool and helpful in all aspects of service.
Excelllent spot for lunch.

We have been there too many times (they are directly across the street), to the point we say hello and they point at us "usual" and we nod. This place is awesome, super friendly staff all around (like everyone who works there), great food and tons of great beverages and food. Truly Bethesda wouldn't be the same without them. They have always been great folks to us and we truly appreciate them.

not the place for pastries. 7-11 got better e-claires. paid $5.00 for an old e-claire that that hard, tasted like it fried in rancid canola oil, had to throw it in the trash.
