It's impossible not to compare Don Pollo to other local Peruvian chicken places, like Crisp & Juicy or el Pollo Rico. Because of that there's a high bar set. The chicken is fresh, juicy, and well seasoned, but I'd have preferred a more crispy skin. The black beans and rice lacked flavor, definitely needed salt. The fries were where they lost me. They weren't fresh, weren't seasoned, weren't hot, and worst of all, they were kind of soggy. The sauces...
Stopped by for a quick lunch. Had to have the iconic Peruvian chicken on the rotisserie. The good scent wafting as one walks in. We also had their version of seafood fried rice. Would definitely return for rhe chicken.
Best Peruvian style chicken around plus they have some nice other choices such as Chaufa con mariscos that is amazing. addendum: , I have eaten there and also been disappointed with other like Jalea de Mariscos so stick with the chicken.
