Amazing local find. We have been here twice and have been blown away by the food and service. Sonya, the owner's daughter, took time to go around to every table to make them feel welcomed and ask how their week had been going. She took the time to tell us about the establishment which has been a family owned business for 39 years. The best Afghan food in Maryland and the best owners on Earth. Dining is a delight and you will not be disappointed at all. The owners are blessed with sincerity and so is the food. I love the pumpkin and stewed potatoes and the vegetarian appetizers are delicate yet tasty. I have two requests: Maybe they can make Mattar Paneer and egg dishes, like Afghan omelettes.

Run right now to this excellent Afghan restaurant in BETHESDA. The restaurant is small but the flavors are mighty without being spicy. Most entrees can be ordered as appetizers. I had the Ashauk ( spelling?), tender pasta pockets topped with meat sauce and mint. I was happily satisfied and would order it again. I also had a side of spinach which I loved.
