Food is mediocre at best. Used to be a regular here, but it’s gone completely down hill. Everything bagel was just sesame seeds and just some poppy seeds (and definitely not “everything”). Front staff had no personality, coffee was mediocre, and prices have gone up exorbitantly.

$15 for a breakfast sandwich. Nope
Food is fine but when you add it to the rude staff and dirty place with pests hovering over cups and coffee table then I’d say doesn’t worth it. I used to enjoy coming to this place but no more. Not recommended at all.

2.5 stars. My experience was on par with the reviews. The majority of recent reviews were 1-2 stars but there seems be inconsistent food qualify and service; some had great experience. I’ve been here a few times of the years and agree the qualify has gone down, although my sample size is limited. Our ‘toasted’ bagel was burnt, bacon on sandwich for kids was also burnt, the salted bagel was way too salty, and the salmon on the lox was not fresh and sliced too thick. It was not spoiled, but not fresh. A bacon , egg, cheese sandwich was over $11 per tax. Service was average- not great but not bad. I won’t be going back.

I can’t leave a review on Too Good to Go, because you can’t leave a review on their app unless you actually complete your order. And I couldn’t pick up my order because the shop was closed, even though we arrived well within the time window for picking up a Too Good to Go package. The instructions said to knock if the door was locked. We knocked and waited for at least 5 minutes. The worst part is that we could see packed bags of food sitting on their counters. Pretty sure they were for us. So someone packed the orders, but left before the pick up time ended. At least I got refunded by Too Good to Go. What a waste of time.
Edit on 1/21: In response to your reply, WOW I cannot believe how dishonest you are! You know exactly what date this happened, because you altered your Too Good To Go listing shortly thereafter, to move the pickup time to before your closing time. On the day in question, your TGTG listing said 2:20 to 2:45, and to knock if the door was locked. You were fully aware that TGTG pickups were to happen after your shop closed. TGTG refunded us right away, which they wouldn’t have done if we had been late. You must have gotten a notification from TGTG that you had messed up. Stop pretending that you don’t know what happened.
First time here, and the workers are really nice! You can smell the freshness of the bagel when you first walk in.
Found hair in my food, called management all I got was an ohh sorry such bad customer service
Oh man… what a disappointing bagel sandwich. I would refocus on making the product good again. Portion sizes within the bagel are very small, the everything bagel I got is essentially a poppy seed bagel. Been a few times. I hope they can right the ship.
We've been semi-regular customers for literal decades, but I suspect we're done giving these folks our money.
First, each time we order, it's more expensive than the last. Today, an item that cost $9.50 just a few months ago is now $11.25 -- more than an 18% increase (as inflation has cooled). Call it what you will, but I call it an absurd money grab.
Simultaneously, the quality of the food has become inconsistent at best, the staff are increasingly abrasive, and it's just not worth playing along anymore.
So, Georgetown Bagelry, congrats. By trying to squeeze a bit more out of each order, you've lost our business for good.
One of the best bagels in the DC area

I'm just going to come out and say it: Georgetown Bagelry is better than Bethesda Bagels. There, I said it. It's true. The crumb, the chew, the perfect crisp, the flavor...these bagels are objectively superior.

I’ve been eating GB for at least 20 years. Service has plummeted. It took 20 minutes for 5 bagels on a slow Monday morning. My order was incorrect. Bagels these days are mediocre. I don’t know what has changed but somebody needs to review their standards. I’m not sure that I’ll go back.

I been coming here weekly since I was a kid. I recently had my last visited and my experience was significantly marred by the poor treatment of the staff by the manager.
During my last 2 visit, I witnessed the manager speaking harshly towards the employees. My last straw was when I saw the same manager threatening the cashier with firing her in front of me. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere for both the staff and the customers. It's disheartening to see hardworking individuals being treated with such disrespect.
No matter how good the food is, the way employees are treated speaks volumes about the establishment's values. I hope the management will address this issue and create a more respectful and supportive work environment for their team. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant.
Rosa & Nivia are the best!!!
