Have been waning to try Guapos for a while. Finally got the perfect time. Asked for a relatively quiet corner, and the hostess delivered. Both of us ordered fajitas, and both were exellent. Service was efficient but not intrusive. Probably the best Mexican restaurants we have tried in Bethesda. Everything was prepared well, arrived too hot to touch the plates, and portions are generous. Highly recommended. Parking lot nearby on Highland makes it quite convenient.

I think the food was very good, and up there with other top Mexican restaurants (not many IMO) I've been to in the area. The only thing is the price because it's also on the higher side of Mexican restaurants. However that being said it doesn't seem to have slowed down their clientele, they were pretty busy.

We have been to Gaupos many times over the years, they have only improved. This is classic Mexican Fare, with fantastic chips, dips and excellent hanger steak for facitas and tacos... Their Cerviche was good (we only did the octopus ... they had 5 others. When going mexican in the Bethesda/Silver Spring region, Gaupos is fine with us :)
