Ordered vanilla was given strawberry. I’ve cream very forgettable and had ice in it. 4.75 for small cup. Will not return.

The reviews recently had me worried, but since I remember this place fondly back from when it first opened in Bethesda, I gave it a try upon my return.

The sandwiches are expensive, but high quality. Yes the staff mostly ignore you unless you indicate that you want their attention, b/c there are kiosks for you to order at. They do seem to be quick to make the order, and show attention to cleanliness.

The amount of food for the price seems entirely standard - the attached pictures are of a whole Surfside but this is only half of the Broad Street (after I ate the other half:-).

Parking: standard for Bethesda - this is meant for walkability not parking

Wheelchair accessibility: there is a gentle ramp incline at the door and everything else is level

The flavor and quality of ingredients seems good. The bread was soft and the au jus on the Monomoy I ordered was great. The problem is that the value isn’t there. It’s served in a sub roll with hardly any meat. Seriously, I removed a quarter of the side of the roll because it wasn’t needed. I normally will eat half a sub, but I ate nearly the whole thing bc the quantity of meat was so small. For a almost $15 sandwhich I was expecting more.

The Jetties in Bethesda has the worst customer service possible in the world. When you walk in and go to the counter, all the employees are ignoring on purpose, chitchatting, with their backs to the counter while you just stand there and wait for service. Nonetheless there’s always that one cook at the fries who see you for a slight instant, yet acts like they don’t so you shout hello, and then all of a sudden all employees behind the counter simultaneously turn around in shock. To top it off even when you call in an order they can’t even ring up or take down the order correctly so when come into pay, items you had thought you had order are missing. Just incompetent and lazy.

Ordered sandwich on gluten free bread and when I picked up the food, it was very evidently not gluten free. I went in, showed my receipt and requested it be re-made on gluten free bread and they told me I’d need to pay another 50% of the sandwich price and wait for 20 minutes for it to be remade. In the group I was in (all of us ordered at least 30 minutes in advance), every single order was messed up, missing dressings, sides, lettuces, or toppings.Staff were disrespectful at best.

I do love Jetties...BUT my favorite sandwich, the Clark Clove, has gone SO DOWN in the last two years it is not even good anymore. Just poorly made (all turkey, very little anything else) and soggy bread. I tried the new Smash Mash today for $5. It came in a tiny container. Fine if its delicious. It wasnt. Tasted like they didnt use salt at all. Mashed potatoes need at least a pinch of salt.

I absolutely love Jetties, The Galley is my absolute favorite! However, I got the Long Pond Sandwich and it was soooo good! That should stay on their menu!
