My partner and I were in Bethesda for an event this past weekend. We are from Pittsburgh PA and I need Have a gluten intolerance Period We found Josephine GF on Google. They have some of the best gluten-free bread I have had! I ended up buying three extra loaves to take home. The service was great and the gluten-free waffle wraps are delicious! I highly recommend them to anybody with gluten issues. Incidentally the banana bread was scrumptious too!
The staff and owner/ Baker we're also very friendly, helpful, and kind. We highly recommend paying them a visit

If you are gluten free and you haven’t gone to Josephine GF, you’re doing yourself a serious disservice! I got several items and the cranberry small loaf and breakfast waffle were probably my favorite. Quite honestly I ate half of what I got before I even made it home. Highly highly recommend!!

Got the strawberry and chocolate hazelnut butter waffle and my girlfriend got the banana and chocolate hazelnut butter waffle and they were delicious!! The owner was also a very friendly guy. Love finding gluten free businesses!

Small, GF dedicated bakery that offers a variety of waffle meal options. You can also buy sweets by the single and fresh baked loafs. Owner and staff were super accommodating. We will definitely be coming back.

I have Celiac disease and this place was a godsend. I went a bit overboard and almost got one of every baked good from the shelf haha. I tried the chocolate chip cookie, brownie and blueberry muffin. I also got the cinnamon waffle wrap. All of these items are things I haven't been able to have in years or if I have had them, they've been gluten free and extremely dry.
Everything I ate here tasted amazing. The textures are on point. I would post pictures of the things I got but I ate them all too fast. Definitely give this place a try!
Fantastic place, interesting/quirky menu with some gems! I came with my wife and a celiac friend (both GF), and three young kids. Everyone loved their waffles. Food is super tasty and convenient (not messy). Strongly recommend whether you are GF or not.
Parking is convenient as well!

I stumbled upon Josephine Gluten-free Artisan Bakery in Bethesda, MD this past weekend, where they have various waffles including breakfast, savory and sweet.
Josephine received Bethesda Magazine’s best new gluten free bakery in 2024.
I can see why after savoring their smoked salmon waffle sandwich which was packaged with love figuratively and literally. The sandwich was packed and sealed with a made with love sticker, which was such a nice touch.
The staff were friendly.
The shop has various other snacks and drinks available for purchase.
There is limited parking in a small lot in front of Josephine, which is in what I would call a mini strip mall. In addition to the small lot, there is street parking and a parking garage within walking distance.
I definitely want to go back to Josephine to try their breakfast and sweet waffle sandwiches.

This is the best Gluten free bread I've ever had in my life. I had a sandwich on a baguette and a gf bread bun to go. Both were delicious, soft, and chewy. Josephine GF bakery has leveled up gluten free baking!
