Ledo Pizza Bethesda, MD - River Rd.

After a hiatus of several years from Ledo's Pizza, the Jan. 2026 snowstorm brought us back for the River Road location for a carry out order. We wonder why we waited so long. The two personal-sized pizzas were excellent. Baked to perfection, each pizza featured ample toppings and tasty sauce. I enjoy pizza and know there are plenty of options near us. Ledo's will be on the short list.

I used to come here all the time as a child, so I was excited when I was in the area and could grab a pizza. Ordered online, saw you could choose between fountain or bottle sodas, which was great, I can't stand bottled soda. Chose the fountain soda. When I got to the restaurant, the fountain wasn't working, no biggie, I asked for a refund. They refused to give me one. I probably could have made more of a stink, but after they huffed and puffed and rolled their eyes when I asked for a refund twice, I decided to just drop it.The dude recoiled when I asked for a refund, not sure how it could be that difficult. Would be nice if they could remove the option of fountain soda on the site as an option if it is not an option. Also on my receipt it rang up as bottle soda even though I 100% selected fountain, might want to fix that.

Best pizza anywhere! Love the sauce. Customizable. Fresh ingredients. Ready fast for pick up, or may be half cooked for finishing at home later. Love Ledos!

The pepperoni pizza is good because of the flavor from the thicc pepperoni but do not order the cheese pizza. The cheese is not melty at all its solid and it tastes like bread with a piece of cheese on top. Staff is pretty nice.

Bob, the manager made sure he was known that he was only taking his orders that he wants and that’s it. Stay clear from Bob the manager because he puts rules that doesn’t even apply to this… He would not even tell me his last name!!!!

Ledo’s is the Best whether you want pizza, lasagna, a great salad or any favorite appetizer and entree. Generous portions - even on their great specials. When I want a weekday party for one it’s a Tuesday Calzone Special - enough for 2 filling meals 😋🥳. Ledo’s Sauces are great gifts for yourself or your Favorite Italian 🇮🇹

Don't order salads from here! Go to Piccoli Piatti instead it's in the Westbard shopping center about 3 minutes away!!
I ordered a chicken Caesar salad that contained very little chicken and was made mostly of lettuce stems. I spoke with the manager about the issue, and he told me the chicken is weighed and the salads are made fresh every day. He offered to replace the salad, but the second one also appeared to contain mostly stems.

When I showed him a video of the amount of stems I had picked out, he became defensive and said he believed the stems were “the best part,” insisting the salad was perfectly fine. After it became clear that I was still dissatisfied, his demeanor shifted—he became pushy, dismissive, and passive-aggressive. Although I was not finished speaking, he stopped listening, attempted to hand me another subpar salad, and motioned for me to leave while saying, “Have a good day.”

Overall, I felt disregarded and disrespected, and the issue with the quality of the salad was never properly addressed.

This Ledo's is very well run. The service is always excellent. The staff are friendly and competent. They are good about following instructions on the orders. The food is good and the prices are quite reasonable.

I had their pizza catered to the National Institutes of Health. It was good. Personally I preferred the pizza in New Haven and in New York, but this style of pizza is nice as well. I think it would have been better eating it hot out of the oven, it was barely warm when I got it. Would try this place again in person next time in the DMV.

I hate to write this review because I love this Ledo's location but this is the second time I've seen and reported staff touching our food and drinks while wearing gloves as she is cleaning or vice versa. Also the staff VACUUMS while you eat. This is completely unprofessional and when you're vacuuming and people are eating your sending dirt into the air. Have a little common courtesy and common sense. If this continues I'm going to start calling the health department every month. I'm serious, stop the nonsense and tighten up this ship. It was sooo good, now I've seen mice, and questionable cleaning and handling of food habits
