I've been a loyal customer of Mon Ami Gabi in Las Vegas for years, so I was shocked by the disappointing service I received in Bethesda. Despite making a reservation during off-peak hours as a single diner, the staff seemed inconvenienced. Initially seated at a table for five, I was served a sandwich on stale bread that disintegrated on my plate. The cappuccino was burnt, and the dessert overcooked. This experience was truly disappointing.

Enjoyed a fantastic brunch here! The breakfast crepe was delicious with a thin and fluffy crepe filled with ham, egg, and cheese. The steak frittes was also delicious--the steak was thin and perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and tasty. Also a lovely dessert, both the mousse and the crème brûlée were wonderful!

Sat outside and had an awesome view of the Bellagio. Food was excellent. Our waiter was so good and attentive! I’m sorry I can’t remember his name .. but he was fantastic! Would definitely go here again if back in town!

Delicious business lunch here. I had the tilefish special which hit the spot. French bread was a first rate. The service was informed, professional, polite, and efficient.

Few times have I had a perfect restaurant experience. Even at this restaurant, it’s not always perfect. But today it was, and it convinced me to leave a review. Steak frites me any day, Monday Ami Gabi.

I was excited about the menu but when the food came out it seemed like it should be good but maybe the main chef was off that night and a line cook was filling in. Service was a little tired as well.

Lunch specials included dessert, with excellent quality food. Classic French cuisine with a $$ price. There is both indoor and outdoor seating on the front and side of the restaurant.

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves here. The bread is delicious along with the Brie and apricot spread. The mussels were fantastic, the sauce was tasty. The duck thighs were super crisp and tasty. They sat us all the way in the back which wasn’t great but other than that the service was good.

There are times when you experience bad service and you can tell it's either too busy or maybe someone's new, or some reason for it. The terrible service we experienced here did not fall in any of those categories. From being seated at the worst table in the restaurant to waiting 15 minutes before we were approached, then being abjectly ignored for everything but a food order, I have never experienced anything like it in my fairly vast dining experiences. The waiter never glanced in our direction when he was in the room attending to all the other tables and never came to our table without being beckoned. I didn't have a fork when the food came and wine that I asked for never arrived, but was quickly served at another table - I simply could not get anyone's attention. On top of it all my steak au poivre was lukewarm, the sauce had no pepper flavor and the fries were a jumbled mess. As a note, I can promise that we were nothing but respectful to the wait staff, and were not rude or anything that might cause the waiter to not want to wait on us. The only reason I could possibly fathom why we were treated the way we were is that my companion was the only black man at the restaurant. That is hard to write here, but honestly, it was what it felt like. I shall never step foot in here again, and I recommend that you do not either.

We've been there many times throughout the years. So we can see a transformation from a nice French-type bistro to some quasi-fast-food joint. The usual steak-and-frites is now a tower of oily and super greasy fries, mashed up together in a blob. They're drenched in oil, almost to the point of leaving over half of it. Inedible. The service: meh. Super fast, speed-centric and no attention to us beyond bringing food. Our server had no clue about what the specials were, no details beyond what's written on the menu. I get better service at Silver Diner, seriously. The baguette in a bag...kinda cute but if you've been to France, you would realize this method is an abomination. Mon Amy Gaby is only as French as the Paris in Las Vegas. An imitation, and a poor one. I won't come back.

Excellent French restaurant in the heart of Bethesda. We were here with a group of 20 and they have a nice quiet room in the back. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We especially liked the salmon, the steak, as well as the mussel appetizer. They also have great French onion soup. We will be back!
