Nordstrom Espresso Bar

Everything about our visit to Marketplace Cafe in Nordstrom Montgomery mall was fine except the noise level. The restaurant was only about 50% full at best but the noise level was very high. I did not see much in the way of sound dampening finishes and that should be considered.

This place is a scam! Looking at the nice pictures you expect a nice Cappuccino served in a cup. However, we got just paper cups although it was not to go. The muffin was not baked and had still raw dough in the middle. That's how you not want to start your day.

Angelia is wonderful and we enjoy seeing her every time we visit. The Cafe is a hidden gem with outstanding service and fabulous food. Thanks to the Chefs for keeping the menu consistent with our favs along with offering a few some new items to try.

I started loving this coffee better until the lady at the cashier showed me bad attitude , when I politely asked her my espresso she raised her tones “ you can go” I think some one can prove me wrong if this lady is not doing the same to other customers.

They have roaches.

This place is a hidden gem and inaccurately named! Tucked away in the back of Nordstroms at the Montgomery Bethesda Mall, this full-service cafe offered a surprisingly diverse menu. We sampled the three soups available that night and would have been happy with all of them (roasted chicken noodle, tomato basil, and clam chowder - equally delicious!). Our waiter Gabriel was timely, attentive, and incredibly kind and friendly. Other wait staff jumped in immediately when I dropped my knife on the floor. Our meals were tasty and served quickly. This was a huge jump up from anything else available in the mall, and comparable to any decent restaurant nearby (and for a really reasonable price, considering what we ate). The pasta with shrimp and red sauce was the perfect amount of spicy, and the pesto chicken gnocchi was delicious. Finishing off with a lemon ricotta cookie, it was a delightful meal and fabulous experience. The place was so quiet, I hope the word gets out quickly that this is the place to eat at the mall!

Good coffee great service.

Coffee is not anything to write home about. Also, it's just outside of the Nordstrom, on the first floor, if you really want to spend some time looking for it.

Went to this Cafe for lunch and dinner plenty of times due to the great service first time going for their brunch which is nice of it ends at three I have to rave about the egg Benedict I got the crab mix it’s worth every penny egg Benedict is offered in almost every branch and I’ve always been disappointed and it’s refrain me from ordering it this is one of the best I have ever had! Highly recommend

see above. Service was o.k. food was excellent, atmosphere was quiet and gracious. The tea took a little while to arrive.

I arrived before my guests and asked the waitress to please give me a separate check. When I placed my order, I asked for iced tea with lemon on the side. The waitress brought ice on the side (there was no mention of ice) and lemon swimming in the tea. At the end of the meal, she handed one check to the male guest at the table. This was so embarrassing as I had ordered the most expensive item on the meal, for which I had intended to pay. The most important skills a waitress can have is listening. She did not!

It's comforting to know that Nordstrom Cafe's impeccable service, delicious recipes, and pleasing ambiance pass the test of time. Even though it's cold and raining cats and dogs, I know that I can run into Nordstrom's and have the tomato basil soup that will turn my day around.
