Very attentive service. One of our party was arriving late. We asked to bring out their entree later; they did and also covered the plate to keep the food warm. They also offered free samples, which was nice.

Christmas Eve dinner. A member of our party had a medical emergency just as our entrees were being served, and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We all love Passion Fin! Thank you so much!

Passion Fin is a family favorite! We find the food to be good and authentic and the staff are really nice. We first tried the restaurant when my son requested udon for a special lunch with mom and I had errands to run nearby (it's located in the Sumner Place shopping center off Sangamore Road, with ample parking). We both enjoyed the food and friendly service and he requested to go back for his birthday dinner, where he was gifted with complimentary ice cream for the occasion -- so it's now one of his favorite restaurants. The interior is spacious and elegant, with dark wood and stone accents. It keeps the restaurant generally pretty quiet so you can have conversations at a normal volume even when it's busier. The portions are very generous and we often have leftovers to take home.

I’ve been going here now for about 8 years and Passion Fin has the most remarkable sushi in the DMV. It’s definitely in my top 3 sushi restaurants in Maryland. I can tell the pandemic hit them hard and they now are closed on Mondays due to understaffing. Prices have been raised so I can only justify getting some during lunch happy hour which ends at 2:45. They have good Miso soups to go and they have mastered their packaging for carry-out. There’s a few tables outside where I often enjoy my food outside but whenever I’m there closer to 3pm the inside of the restaurant is barren.

Literally found an ant in my food. Avoid at all costs. Picture attached. Too lazy to contact the health department.

Overall way over priced for the service and quality of food. Not only does the restaurant have a musky smell but the you can find better sushi at Sam's club or Harris for a better price.

Good price for the food quality, but the place needs to be updated. Menus have worn, ragged edges. Uninspired room decorations. I made the mistake of washing my hands before eating and the restrooms were really filthy. It was noon and we were some of the first customers in, so I expected the restrooms to be cleaned, but literally every part of the restroom was dirty, including the yellow "slippery floor" warning sign. Hibachi lunch was very good, fresh and tasty. Overall OK if you are in dire need of asian lunch.

ALL tables without customers were not cleaned. Never seen a restaurant that untidy. Cleaned table was still sticky when we were seated.

The food was absolutely fantastic. You can feel the love in every dish. You will never find a better tasting hibachi.

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. I experience food poisoning immediately afterwards. It was so horrible that it took me months to write this review. After reading other reviews, I see I am not the only one. This is not the cleanest place but hopefully they will do better in the future because food poisoning is not a fair price to pay along with paying the tab.

Great sushi. Other dishes wonderful too.

I have been trying to avoid this restaurant since wayback 2017 when I saw that the people are smoking while preparing the food. Last Sunday, I caved in when there was no other restaurant that is open at noon and we were starving. The place was literally empty when we got in - worked well for us since I have my 4-month old with me. My boyfriend and I ordered a shumai, calamari, pad thai, and sushi sashimi combo. Couple minutes later and our food was out. We were famished so were glad that it only took a couple minutes for our appetizers to arrive. And then it immediately turned into disappointment. The shumai they served is something that you can buy off Safeway or any asian market. It tasted cheap and we can tell that it was not home-made. The pad thai was bad and the shrimp that comes with it tasted stale. The sushi/sashimi was not fresh. I know because I always get sushi/sashimi whenever we eat at any asian restaurants. The tuna and salmon was served FROZEN - the inside of the fish was cold. The yellowtail tasted ok but definitely not fresh. Well, at least the server was nice. If you want to get an authentic asian food, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

I've been eating here for lunch a few times a week. The food is pretty good! Today I had a Shrimp and Mango salad. It was absolute perfection!
