Piazza Beer Garden

The concept is perfect. An outdoor beer garden in busy Bethesda. Service is excellent, the selection fine, but it seems a bit thrown together. The beer comes from the main bar inside, with the exception of a couple choices outside. Not a problem, but it underscores the temporary feel of the spot. Almost like it's a pop-up beer garden. We came here for a birthday happy hour from 4-7 pm. They had $1.50 off beer but a lot of the beers ran out fast :( But we made do. The calamari, bacon pizza, and wings satisfied and I would definitely recommend them. We were sitting next to the window looking into the restaurant that was having some event with some tasty looking cake. The server inside noticed our longing glances at the cake and came out and brought us a slice! So kind of him.

I was really excited about trying this place after reading about it online. When I got there, you sit outside on picnic tables under a string of lights. Very picturesque. It was Happy Hour, so they had a menu that wasn't online which disappointed me as I was looking forward to the pretzel and sausage sandwich which neither was offered.
