Might be cozy atmosphere but the food is not even close. Pasta have always been a bunch of mushy noodle swimming in red sauce which has absolutely no tase! True, Not sure why it is rated this high, maybe just for location.

I arranged a delivery of favorite dishes to my boss for his retirement party. This is his & his wife's favorite restaurant. The charges were complicated but the staff was very patient with me. The delivery was on time and they said the food was perfect!

Dinner before a comedy show. My first night out since quarantine. Great food, had the Rigatoni with eggplant, rich tomato sauce, manicotti was also a big hit at our table. Then on to the evening entertainment. Funny comics, tables were spaced well. Really enjoyed myself, and plan on going back soon.

*The BBC est Italian in Bethesda!!! Due to Covid restrictions, we sat at their outdoor seating. Though it was cold we had the most wonderful dinner! The food was amazing here...and, cheerful Luco who waited on us was great. **My only advice during Covid now that Winter is upon us, to have portable heating for their outdoor dining area..Brrr

We recently held our third private party at Positano Restaurant. As always, the service, food and ambiance were outstanding. Jimmy, the owner, is a delight to work with. He was very understanding and accommodating to our needs. Can’t wait for our next dinner or special event.
Reliably Excellent. My boyfriend and I patronize it almost every week, either via carryout or in their dining room, which is spotlessly clean and enables us to feel very safe. We both love the veal dishes (the cutlets are pounded and exceptionally good), and the fried eggplant, calamari, salads, and cannoli are all first rate. The pomodoro sauce is the best of any I've ever had. I especially noticed the difference between Positano and the rest when I had a craving for Italian food one Sunday evening (they were closed) and got carryout at another, popular place. No Comparison!!! For me, it's simply the Best in town.

We are from Pennsylvania and Positano was recommended to us if we found ourselves in Bethesda for dinner.The flavors of our dishes were fresh and well balanced. The service was excellent and the prices VERY reasonable.If we find ourselves in Bethesda at dinnertime again, Positano will be our destination.
