Old school diner which met my expectations. With all the trendy restaurants out there it’s good to know that there is a place that has kept its authenticity.
I didn’t care for the hot cake too much. They should consider offering buttermilk pancakes which are a lot tastier. But that’s just my opinion

True diner vibes here, and some great pricing to boot! I recently got very sick and in the middle of a celiac/gluten diagnosis and they were great today. I mentioned I was gluten free and I heard her expressly tell the cooks I was celiac, no toast or bread etc. Got me some slice tomato and had some amazing eggs! A new spot for me for sure

I love this place. It’s nostalgic and feels apart of the community in an old fashion way that you do not get anywhere else. I love listening to the waitresses speak to obvious regulars and checking in on their lives. I think we found our new favorite place to go to at least once a week.

A hidden gem! Staff is amazing and truly get the old time diner feel with all the customer service you just don’t get anymore. Jukebox’s at the tables that really do work. Old fashioned shakes, just amazing food for my sole!

Tastee Diner has that old time diner feel. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the hamburger steak with gravy. It was cooked perfectly, it was very thick and juicy. Just the way I like it

Fifty plus years ago, my mother made ground beef and macaroni on a regular basis (there's just a bit of tomato in there, too) and here it was the Monday special!

My mother called it "slum gooey", which I always took to be a or
derivation of "ghoulash".

It was good, my son's chicken tenders were good, the mashed potatos and gravy were good.

The booth seat was a little shallow for my 6' 4" height, but Americans weren't as tall in 1935.

The ambiance was relaxed and friendly, and I'm happy to have visited Tastee Diner.

Was craving a good American breakfast for the past week and decided to try out Tastee Diner for the first time. The food overall was okay and a bit underwhelming. Bacon and eggs were fine but my pancake was a bit soggy so 4/5 stars overall.

The tastee is an icon and a must do.
I have been twice when in Bethesda.
Both times it did not disappoint me!
Classic food with a Blur Plate special every night! Classic!
This place oozes history!
Try the salmon it was so good! With classic sides like mash potatoes and collards!
The beef tips on noddies amazing and of course banana pudding.
The pancakes looked Gas!
Go when in Bethesda places like this are few and far between.

This dinner is tucked into Bethesda and a small surprise. Walking through the tiny door, turning left into the ongoing series of rooms.

It is a diner in the very traditional way, the ones in New Jersey. They even have jukeboxes on some of the tables. Old school!

They have a diner menu with a variety of options, from breakfast to dinner, liver and onions. The milkshakes are a throwback.

Parking: Street meter parking. A few public parking lots are open in the area.

Old school diner with the jukeboxes in each booth. Service was fast and friendly. Bacon was soooooo salty... food was honestly just ok but a very cool place, nice people and I would visit again
