The Red Bandna Bakery is outstanding. Because of my medical condition, I love the fact that all of their goods are gluten free. The cookie I bought was so sweet and tasty. The owner was a very pleasant young lady. It is my practice to put the positive and negative in my reviwes. I cannot think of any problems.

Unfortunately I have to say that the cake we ordered was far from good. While this bakery came recommended to me from others, I have to say that the custom birthday cake we ordered was not good (to put it mildly).In fact, it was inedible and our guests stomachs hurt after taking one bite.Sadly, it was a big disappointment for the birthday recipient, our guests and myself.This is after the fact that the bakery did not design the cake as per the cake design photo I provided weeks prior.When placing the order, I emailed and texted the cake design I wanted and discussed it with the person taking my order. I then paid for the order.The day and time that the cake was to be ready for pick up, I received a text photo of the cake; indicating that it was ready for pick up.It looked nothing like the cake design I ordered.I called the bakery to discuss. After much discussion, they tried to fix it. I accepted the fixed version, knowing that it was the best I was going to get from them.When it came time to serve the cake, we could hardly get a knife through the cake to cut and serve it. We all had the same reaction. What the?..This was not good.I tried to cut it and served it to our guests, hoping it would taste ok.It did not. It was horrible. It was not edible. In fact, some guests took one bite, and their stomachs began to hurt.Needless to say, it was a big disappointment.I wish this were not the case as I am always in need of nut free (and gluten free) cakes...

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Here's why:My wife and I were bummed because we thought we were going to miss Fastnacht Day, a Pennsylvania Dutch Mardi Gras tradition. Fortunately, Jaimie, the owner of Red Bandana, was able to perfectly replicate a fastnacht recipe for us on request. Our family was thrilled.When we picked up the order, we decided to have lunch -- BEST IDEA EVER. The food was so delicious we went back and ordered a bunch more to take home.I can't recommend this bakery highly enough. No matter what you're in the mood for, give it a try. The staff is super friendly, and they have a huge variety of amazing food.Dietary restrictions: Dedicated gluten-free kitchen that can also make many things dairy-free or vegan.
We got the Vegan Feastin Family Meal, a bunch of vegan and non-dairy treats, and a regular donut. The whole family loved all of it! The Vegan Feastin was a great meal, and I really appreciated the veggies that were roasted to perfection. We have plenty of leftovers from the family meal. The donuts, cupcakes, brownies, and muffins were all delicious. I was so impressed because we had never had vegan or non-dairy bakery items before, and it was all absolutely delicious! We will definitely go back for more deliciousness!Vegetarian options: The Vegan Feastin meal was great. There are plenty of clearly marked vegan options, including food and bakery treats.Dietary restrictions: They clearly mark non-dairy and vegan options. In addition, I called them, and they said they don't have any peanuts anywhere on the premises. They do have other nuts (I believe they mentioned having almonds, for example), but they keep all the nuts in separate containers that are only opened when making specific items. This place is very allergy friendly!Kid-friendliness: This food was definitely kid friendly!

I ordered a custom birthday cake last Friday to be ready by today, Wednesday at 3pm for pickup.At the store last Friday- I showed a screenshot of the cake design and was told that it was an easy design to make- The staff requested to send the design screenshot to the owner(or baker)’s phone, and I did so. I received the confirmation reply from Ms. Jaimie Mertz.- I paid the custom cake price + “cake design fee” + tipToday- I came to pick it up today at 4pm (did not want to come right at 3pm because they might be finishing up the cake) and was told that the cake was not ready due to some miscommunication among the staff.- They said they didn’t know where the picture was even though Ms. Mertz had received the picture and replied to me. Or they could have called me at least today since they had my phone number from when I placed the order.- I had to show the picture again and was then told to wait around 15 minutes. They started to decorate at that time.- There was no apology at all for the handling of the situation.- The cake I received after the wait did not meet my expectations……It was my first time ordering a cake from the Red Bandana, and I am so disappointed at their poor management and attitudes. I regret ordering the birthday cake for a big day.

I ordered a gluten/lactose free cake for my celiac husband's 50th bday. First of all, Jaimie is wonderful to work with. Calling after I placed the order online to confirm the details, texting a picture of the cake when it was ready, arranging for delivery etc. But more importantly, the cake was gorgeous and delicious. You should have seen husband's face when he opened the box, his mouth fell open. So, thanks Jaimie for making this milestone bday so special.

This place offers delicious, custom cakes that can be made to suit any number of dietary restrictions. I will say that I don’t know how they are able to create such delicious cakes that also look good without using any soy, dairy, or egg, for example.The staff is also awesome and very helpful when placing an order, with consideration of any need by date and time.

It's hard to write a bad review when the staff seemed so kind and sweet, but I was so unbelievably disappointed that I couldn't let it go. I agree with all the other 1/2 star reviews unfortunately. I really wanted to like it, but the bagel and smoothie were honestly the worst I've ever had. The texture and flavor was off, and I could only have a few bites of each. The staff was lovely but unfortunately it was a real disappointment.
