We went twice shortly after the initial opening. The first time was fair but the waitstaff was still in training and the menu limited. We went back a few weeks later expecting a more polished experience after some the “kinks†were worked out. Unfortunately, it was worse. We ordered stuffed tomatoes which looked great on the outside but we quickly realized they were barely cooked within. The rice was still hard! The dish was inedible. We voiced our concerns to the staff who apologized but still charged us full price on the bill. We will not be coming back.
Love this place, if you like authentic Greek cuisine you definitely should stop. The owner is super friendly and makes sure that you enjoy the experience, you can tell that most costumers who have been there come back regularly.
The food was fresh, cooked to perfection authentic.
We had lunch today and really enjoyed the food. Must have been the best Greek food I have eaten in a long time! John the owner is delightful with his stories. The relaxed decor is very pleasant. If (or rather when) you go the shrimps are a MUST and so are the eggplant appetizer. We will definitely be back
Went there for lunch with family...loved the grilled salmon. The eggplant was slightly different to taste wasn't exactly grilled but nicely fried with onions good combination of soft and crisp. Enjoyed the bread!
This place has incredibly good greek food for a great price. It is a perfect blend of high quality food but without the white table cloth dining experience (and expense) that is usually associated with such quality. It is great for a quick lunch and for dinner. The staff, and owner, are great about educating me about authentic greek cuisine and culture.
$20 for OLD extra dry lamb gyro, soggy side salad and stale chips. Also horrible service, manager spent 20 minutes yelling at the waitress in the kitchen. I don't plan on returning again nor do I recommend to anyone!
Small but authentic. Food and service was excellent. The owner is friendly and enjoys visiting with customers to ask about their experience at his place.
Good and fast carry out service. The Gyro I ordered was very good at reasonable price. Have not tried the regular menu.
Owner was so incedibly nice, and our waitress (Mimi?) was really sweet. Food was great! My friend and I were catching up, chattering away and didn't realize they closed at 10:00 and they were still really nice and didn't rush us, even though they would have been perfectly within their right to do so (hours are clearly visible on the door- ooops and sorry! I know that sucks to have to stay because customers are being oblivious). But thanks so much for the great food and service!

The food was really delicious! It was so well crafted that I felt like John (the owner) was serving us from his kitchen at home! The food is an incredible value and certainly worth the wait. With so many decades in the restaurant business, no wonder he knows how to cook. I'll be back!!
Delicious! All of the food is fresh and clearly made from scratch. The owner/chef came to talk to our table and tell us about the restaurant and the food. Hidden gem in Bethesda...go!
This is a diamond in the rough. Despite absolutely horrific decor, lack of tablecloth and utterly uncomfortable chairs, they have best greek food I have ever tried in the continental U.S. Absolutely delicious!
Great Greek food prepared by Greek owner. This is my favorite type of resteraunt. Every dish I have ordered has been prepared expertly and tastes wonderful. The ingredients are high quality.
Awesome spot. Highly recommend. Fresh, quick and authentic.
