Amongst the skyscraping urban sprawl that downtown Bethesda has become, sits this humble, if not crumbling old structure. The authenticity of its casual, airy ambiance is mirrored by the age old recipes that emerge from the kitchen. I must admit that my exploration of the menu has not been extensive, because the Sopa de Pollo (Chicken Soup)is so uniquely delicious and filling, that there is usually no room for an entree. Come for the Sopa de Pollo and bring a big appetite!!!
Authentic Mexican cuisine - haven’t had a dish there that I haven’t enjoyed - especially their fish special as it’s always delicious (most recent was red snapper topped with crab meat!). Guacamole appetizer is addicting! Add in their frozen margaritas and crepas and it all makes for an enjoyable evening! The family who own the restaurant are always welcoming and friendly!
