Everything about this place is wonderful. All the staff were very nice and friendly! The atmosphere felt like you were eating in someone's home. The food went beyond our expectations! The crab bisque was delicious! The calamari arrostiti was so flavorful! The Fettuccine Monte Carlo was amazing! One of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time.Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back and try different things!

Freddy was a great host- food tasted out of this world, though the presentation was a little sloppy and the wait time took 25 minutes.

This place is fantastic. There is no shortage of good Italian restaurants in Bethesda. Sorrento ranks up there as one of the best. The service was fantastic. The menu has a great selection and everything was awesome including the appetizers and the desserts. We also enjoyed chatting with the owner and appreciate her focus on customer service. We will definitely be returning many more times.

My all-time favorite Italian spot. Incredible food, ambiance, and service. Their chicken milanese and veal ravioli are to die for.

Came here when the doors opened a while back. We were seated promptly as the restaurant was empty. As the evening went on, of course, it filled up more and more. We ordered a few dishes, all very well done and cooked to perfection. The place and staff felt very familial and well versed on their specials and menus. While it did take a little while for the food to be served, it's not a chain restaurant where they unseal your food from a bag and microwave it. The wait at a place like this that means the food is very freshly made, and it was indeed worth the wait. I highly recommend this place,Dietary restrictions: My significant other is a pescatarian and the friend we went with has a gluten allergy, which you'd think would be a bad idea, but the menu has a lot that both of them could eat!

After just spending 2 weeks on Amalfi coast in Italy I was hoping to get some similar flavors, however even Aperol spritz unfortunately didn't taste like a real one. Drink was bitter almost like prosecco wasn't added to it, so aperol was very pronounced. I asked to redo it, but it didn't help much. Food was just mediocre. Eggplant parmesan was okay. My husband didn't like his dish, but not to the point when you would return it to the kitchen. Service was unimpressive. We only learned about specials after our order was placed and they were telling the table next to us about them. Do not recommend.

Excellent Italian food in a lowkwy Bethesda setting that draws many locals. The calamari was good. The flounder stuffed with crab and served with pasta was amazing. It's definitely worth trying from the specials menu. We will be back when looking for traditional Italian food again.Parking is on the street.

The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly! It’s a nice change being at a family run restaurant. My favourite is either the penne vodka or the carbonara! If you’re in the mood for dessert, the canolli or zuppe engles are my go to! Will always return for more :)Vegetarian options: They have plenty of options that are vegetarian such as pasta or pizzaParking: Right next to the parking garage and street parking available as wellDietary restrictions: They are accommodating for dietary restrictions if you let them know! They also have some options for those who are vegan or gluten free.

Excellent food, well prepared. Everything was made fresh and quite good. It's a small restaurant, which can affect larger parties. It is a little understaffed since Covid, so wait times can occur at the height of the dining hour. Overall, the menu is unique, and the food is worth the trip to Bethesda and fighting the chronic Bethesda parking battles, but they are immediately next to a large public garage, so parking has never been a problem, even on the busiest evenings. Highly recommended is the Linguine al Pirata (roasted calamari on a bed of linguine.) White pizza and the various antipasto dishes are usually excellent. I recommend patience on busy nights.

Nicest Italian restaurant I've been to in the DMV. Exactly what you want from a little family restaurant. Unpretentious, good prices, relaxed and quiet atmosphere, kind people. The food is good and you never feel rushed.

Rarely do I write a review but if you are in the Bethesda area and like Italian food, you should eat at the restaurant. Our family recently visited the Amalfi coast and the meals are the same flavor. We enjoyed the grilled salmon, cacio e Pepe, chicken Marsala and linguine with clams. Each meal was excellent. The servers were attentive and helpful. And we enjoyed a recommended bottle of wine. We will definitely return.

The atmosphere, food and service at this restaurant are all amazing. This is our second time being back, the first time was when we had a birthday dinner and they were very accommodating. Thank you so much Melinda S. for that wonderful experience during the birthday. We definitely will be back again.

What a disappointment. The bread basket had four small, uneven, stale pieces of bread. The veal piccata was bland with tasteless sauce, the linguine Al pirate was served with spaghetti, and the calamari was so heavily floured that the coating fell off. We waited over an hour to receive our entrees. We sent back the calamari and were offered dessert. No thank you.

Takeout was ordered online, one of the entrees was wrong and the appetizer was not there. The restaurant was quickly called, manager was rude on the phone and not helpful. She ended up hanging up and I had to call back attempt to get refunded. Poorly run business, rude staff, would never order from there again.

Food and service is adequate. Decided to try this place out after recommendation. Getting into downtown find parking at one of downtown Bethesda’s many lots. We were seated quickly and place is clean and inviting. There was plenty of foot traffic from take out and grub hub orders. There isn’t really any room or server station inside so foot traffic loiters around tables. Tried an anti pasta, seafood special and gnocchi. All dishes came out as ordered. Seasoning is not overpowering and serving sizes are on the larger side. Even tried the desert of cannoli and tiramisu. A nice experience.
