where to start? upon arrival it took 10 minutes to be seated with a reservation and nobody ahead of us. the kitchen door is wide open overlooking the lobby and was loud and noisy. i am sure it is left open due to the heat but come on add some a/c for your folks.the decor is a cross between historical williamsburg and coastal south carolina. the brightly colored orange colored walls make no sense. the food was good but overpriced. craft sandwiches, a pasta dish and burgers would bring make it more affordable and in line with the basic atmosphere. current pricing is commensurate with an upscale restaurant which it is not. the service was very good.my meal was luke warm but i was afraid to send it back due to the owner being very aggressive and rude.she is missing the part of treating your patrons as guests not adversary's. you can read this in multiple other reviews. if you don't like people get into another business !this place has a lot of potential with some well needed adjustments, just have be able to accept constructive criticism.

Delicious mushroom soup for me, seafood for my wife. Tarragon shrimp pasta was aromatic and yummy. Mahi Mahi over cheese grits with spaghetti squash was an amazing combination. Manhattan seemed a little watery but martinis were perfect. Nice night concluded with a walk onto the beach at the foot of the hill. Covid spacing of tables provided a quiet atmosphere filled with perfect sights and smells.

This is our go to place. Regardless all the the food is fabulous, and so is the food. We feel like we're eating at home when we visit. This is a great place.

crispy Brussels sprouts (yum), Hungarian mushroom soup (my favorite).... shrimp scampi and flank steak...the food was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. We are so glad that Barbara's is open again, after our long covid winter. Everything about the evening was enjoyable. We will be back.
Filet mignon was done to perfection! Great atmosphere with view of the Bay.

I adore this place! They prepare superb meals, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I love a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high class, the attitude towards the guests is friendly. I often go to this place and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend this place.

What a find ! Amazing menu. Definitely some creative recipes here. We drove 2 hours to get here, on a friend's recommendation. Worth the effort. You have to visit. Need reservations.Their seared salmon was better than Key West's. Scallops cooked perfectly. Filet was...wow !Betterton is beautiful ... and a Free Beach !
