Heard about this spot on TikTok yesterday and my wife and I happen to be in the area today so we stopped by… So glad we did.
We had a 10 out of 10 experience.
The young lady on the register gave us great customer service. She was friendly and welcoming, and super helpful.
The owner was in the building. He was greeting customers coming out to the front checking on us great hospitality.

They were busy and we still got our food with within 15 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh, but even more than that it was all delicious.

I went to B.B.U. Kitchen today the food was great. We got the Catfish Nugget dinner with two sides Mac and cheese and greens we also got the Shrimp Po’Boy sandwich with fries and fried chicken bites. Our drinks we got the half and half and fruit punch. Everything was on point. I will definitely come here again.

I really wanted to like this place. I went based upon the reviews. Influencers must be paid to provide positive feedback. This place is absolutely horrible. We ordered the chicken wing combo with macaroni and cheese, collard green and yams. We also ordered a whitening and chicken combo with green beans and cabbage. Every piece of chicken was covered in feathers. How lazy must the cook be to leave the chicken fully covered in feathers. Not just one or two pieces but covered in the long bristles. Secondly the chicken was soggy not from condensation but because it was not cooked long enough. It was not crispy like shown in others reviews or their website. Lastly the lack of seasoning on the chicken left a lot to be desired. The cabbage had the strangest taste. I can't even guess what that was. It was absolutely disgusting. The macaroni and cheese was extra cheesy but had absolutely no flavor. The sweet potatoes were some of the worst I have ever tasted. The were semi hard and the only thing I could taste was an overload of cinnamon, so much so that I could not even force myself to swallow them. This food is not prepared with care, love or by someone who really knows soulfood. The cabbage had the same odd taste as the green beans. They only thing that was just okay were the collard greens. They weren't good but just okay. We wasted $78.00 because we threw all of that garbage in the trash. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. I don't know who is preparing the food but fish had so many bones my husband could not eat it. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Never again.

This was the BEST soul food i have had outside of my own home. The service was good the food was outstanding. You could tell everything was fresh and not just being air fried which is so refreshing to see in this day and age. Please come and support this business
