Had Escoveitch today. Food was bland!!! Rice&peas BLAND, Fish BLAND just tasted like all vinegar. The fish was fried too dry and for $30 the fish was as big as the palm of my had. Very disappointing smh. Wouldn't recommend.

I was in the mood for Caribbean food last night. I was nervous because I live in Silver Spring and it's been a while since I've found a good spot. I found D&G Caribbean Grill on Uber Eats and read the reviews. I ordered the brown stew chicken, curry chicken with cabbage, rice & peas and coco bread. Everything was delicious! Since I don't drive I will definitely be ordering again.

Poorly packaged. My food fell through the bag as soon as I got home due to how heavy and wet the bag was. Mind you, I came straight home after picking up my food. I didn’t mind coming back to the restaurant to get my food remade. However, it seemed like the kitchen was not trying to make my food again. They also denied my request for a refund. This is after I paid EXTRA for oxtails.

BEWARE. I tried to dispute the charge, but it seemed like whatever system they use blocks credit card disputes. Just a heads up for whoever decides to purchase from here. I am grossly disgusted by their lack of customer service. I’m a first time customer and this left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I was looking for a place to eat in this area and this place popped up. There was the guy sitting at the front desk. I asked him about the food and the desserts. For example, if anything was spicy, if there was rum and the rum cake etc. He could not give me any information on any of the food. And he spoke English too, so there really wasn't any excuse of why he couldn't tell me. He then calls some guy from the back and he had to explain to me the ingredients of the food and and the different desserts.

I ended up getting the curry goat. I've had curry goat before and it's one of my favorite Caribbean dishes.

When I got home to eat the curry goat it didn't have any flavor at all except for a lot of pepper. No other kind of spices, salt or nothing, just bland. I have never had a curry goat that was bland. I was so disappointed. If the place wasn't so far from me I would have taken the food back. That was a waste of money.

The food was AMAZING!!! compliments to the chef. Along with the customer service from the young man that took my order.
I ordered the goat with rice/beans, vegetables and beef patties. I was given a good amount of food and the patties were FIRE!
This will definitely be my spot whenever I crave Jamaican food.

Thank You!

D&G Caribbean Grill has been one of my favorite spots since they opened in Bowie. Their food is always delicious and most of all consistent, which is why I keep going back. My top picks are the curry chicken, brown stew chicken, jerk chicken meals. I'll sometimes pop in when I crave the jerk chicken patty! They never miss!

I’ve also used them for catering a few times, most recently on my birthday this year, and it’s always a hit. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the food tastes just as good as when you eat in. Most importantly, the customer service is A1 every time I go, and I really like that the owner will sometimes come out and greet you...it feels so personal and welcoming!

Their juices are so good too. The pineapple ginger is my favorite! Plus, they’ve got a daily happy hour with good drinks and karaoke night on Fridays, which makes it a nice fun vibe. My family goes several times a month, and I’m just glad to have D&G close by with great food and healthy options.

I definitely recommend them, 10/10!

Ordered at 5:30p on a Sunday they didn’t have anymore Mac or 🥔 salad. I ordered too platters 1 with those sides & fried chicken the other curry goat peas & rice plantains. My fav was ofc the curry goat wi rig rice.
It could of been spiced as it was my first time and I asked for 2 sauces 1 being ghost pepper that was forgotten to get added to my bag after waiting 40min for my food to be prepared for a pre-order that just went left from the once I arrived notice regarding the unavailable 2 sides.
I also ordered a separate side of cabbage that ended up becoming a main side which was pretty good especially with the rice.
Truly it you’re looking for decent decadent Caribbean food they’re worthwhile. Small business but worthwhile.
I tried the bread pudding I wasn’t a fan, it needed to be more moist and simply u can add cream to it to improve it at home. But overall check your bag throughly for your items, and don’t spend too much at once your first time, go with a usual entree for yourself and start reasonable.

My brother recommended this spot who is more particular than myself and ended up appearing 2 days before myself, ended up receiving Mac & potato salad and wasnt satisfied with his full results and spent more than myself but he’s truly more particularly than myself and only eats my own and himself cooking which give me a break.

The chicken was super dry with no jerk flavor. It had jerk sauce to make it jerk chicken. The sides was decent, but I went for the jerk.I think the birds outside enjoyed it more than I did.

Simply the best Caribbean food in the area! When I have a taste for authentic Caribbean food, I think of this place first. Their oxtails and jerk salmon are especially good! But pretty much everything I’ve tried at D&G so far has been good. The nice part is that the service is also great! My first encounter was with an employee named Dillan who was so pleasant and accommodating it was refreshing. You just can’t beat great service and food!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Best Jamaican Food in Maryland!

As a proud Jermerican from NY, I’m always on the hunt for real, authentic Jamaican food—and D&G Caribbean Grill and Bar absolutely delivered! The flavors were spot-on and tasted just like home.

The curry goat? My God—just perfect. Tender, seasoned to perfection, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The presentation was so beautiful I wanted to take a picture, but it was so good I couldn’t stop myself from digging in!

The natural juices were another highlight—the sorrel and soursop were fresh, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Not watered down, just pure island vibes in a glass.

I highly recommend this place. It’s hands-down the best Jamaican food I’ve had in Maryland. D&G, you’ve earned a customer for life. 🇯🇲🔥

Best Caribbean cuisine i’ve had in this area so far! I got Oxtail w/ rice and peas & fried plantains, Jerk wings, and a jerk chicken patty. The portions were way bigger than i expected — i’m so used to these places giving microscopic portions of oxtail that i ordered the jerk wings to fill me only to be overwhelmed by the large portion. Totally worth its price. and the flavor!! So delicious and the oxtail is tender and flavorful. The rice and peas were tasty and the plantains were so sweet and perfectly cooked. The jerk is well spiced and wonderfully seasoned. The patty is so good it can be eaten cold. I was sleeping on this restaurant and I will be back again and again! The inside of the restaurant is cozy and has a very nice and well stocked bar. Service was fast and they were very nice. Come here and enjoy food that’s actually worth the price !!

The food was fantastic. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. We have had chicken curry, brown stew, meat patties, and jerk chicken just to name so of the items. Most recently, we had fried fish from their monthly fish fry. The fish was great 👍. Will be back again for next month fish fry. The portions were of good size, great value for you money.
