It was crowded so we ate at the bar. The stools were the perfect height that allowed you to eat comfortably. The food was delicious. We ordered a carryout meal as well, which was ready by time we were ready to leave. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We'll be back!

As a DMV foodie,

I’ve been to Jerry's Seafood multiple times and it never disappoints. Home of the legendary Crab Bomb, this spot is a seafood lover’s dream.

This time we ordered the Baby Crab Bomb and it was 10/10.
Packed with jumbo lump crab meat and seasoned perfectly. If you love crab, this is a must order.

We also had the crab dip topped with jumbo lump crab meat, and it was incredible. Rich, creamy, and loaded with real crab.

The cream of crab soup and the half & half soup were both excellent. We even added extra jumbo lump crab on top.

Funny story — we accidentally left both soups in the to-go containers before leaving and we were sick about it because they were that good.

One of the kids ordered the chicken tenders and it came out looking like a full grown man’s plate — about nine tenders.

Their seasoned wedges are amazing and the honey mustard might be some of the best anywhere.

My wife ordered the Fisherman’s Platter which comes with cod, a fried crab cake, steamed shrimp, and beer battered shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly.

We usually swap the oysters out for extra shrimp.

I also ordered the jumbo fried shrimp, and these were some of the biggest fried shrimp I’ve had at any restaurant.
Even the house salad was good and their homemade blue cheese dressing is everything.

Don’t leave without getting the half & half (sweet tea + lemonade) — 10/10.
⭐ Overall rating: 10/10

If you’ve never been to Jerry’s Seafood, run there ASAP.
This place is a DMV classic for a reason.

We decided to tryout Jerry’s seafood restaurant. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes. About 50 minutes later, we were seated. We were placed at a table. We saw an opened booth and requested to move to the booth and the hostess said we could (we should have stayed at the table). The waitress initially came over very bubbly until she was not. She proceeded to quickly tell us the special and with a RBF would get irritated if we asked her to repeat what she said. We placed our appetizer order and our drinks. The waitress came by and stated our drinks would be out shortly (and as Maury would put it, “that was a lie”). The appetizers would arrive before the drinks. When the waitress returned, she asked if we were ready to order. As we were placing the order, again if she couldn’t hear you, that RBF appeared and she would say I can’t hear you. Orders were placed. At the time our food came out, there were only two dishes. They handed one dish to one friend and the other friend with me said that the second dish was hers. I asked the gentleman where my order was as they were all placed at the same time. He appeared puzzled and then stated that it should be out soon. When one of the guest tasted her food, she proceeded to say that her dish was my dish and that her order wasn’t there. By that time, the waitress returned and asked my friend did she have a question about her meal (at that time, she hadn’t given me the plate she had). I assumed she would address me as I had no dish in front of me. I tried to explain to the waitress what actually happened, and she put her hand up at me (as to shut up & did not look my way) and kept talking to my friend. It took everything in my soul not to say anything & I knew at that point the BEST way to handle this. One of my friends was confused about their meal and asked about the the small crab and shrimp bomb. She wasn’t happy about the dish after it was explained. I asked the waitress for additional bread and she said, “Ok” and quickly walked away. She never brought the additional bread out. We had to ask someone else who brought it over in less than 2 minutes. Once we were done with our meals, we requested boxes, the waitress grabbed one of my friends food to box it up. The waitress returned for our dishes to box up, but my other friend and I did NOT trust that and requested our boxes be brought to the table and we will box our own food. The waitress looked confused and responded, “ok!” We boxed our food and waited for the bill. She handed one of my friend’s their bill and placed the other two on the table and walked away. At that point we knew……. We paid our bill and stayed a few minutes longer. When we decided to leave, we all stated we would never come back to this establishment again. Why? The reason is a combination of the food and the service. It’s very important to understand whether you’re having a bad day or something is going on in your life that may cause a less than professional attitude or you don’t want to service your guest with 100% professionalism, to either go home, request someone else take your table or apologize in advance before you serve your guest. I manage people everyday and i always tell my staff if you are having a bad day and encounter someone who may be less than friendly that would trigger less than 100% professionalism, please have someone else finish the call or assist the individual in front of them. Lastly, the one star is mainly for the waitress that assisted us. I know the waitress name, but I don’t want to publicly humiliate her. If management decides to respond by addressing my concerns and would like to know the waitress’ name, please leave the number with your comment. Thank you.

I usually LOVE Jerry’s! But today I decided to order something different which was the crab Norfolk and it was HORRIBLE! No flavor whatsoever. I definitely wasted $38. But again I will be back because I do love other things on the menu I just will never order the crab Norfolk again!!

March 1,2026 my son’s 48 Birthday was a very special day since his massive stroke 12/9/2024 which has him in a wheelchair and unable to speak. We decided to treat him to crab cakes at Jerry’s Seafood. Our server Samantha S made our accommodations the best ever. Because it was 12 of us and no one had reserved the private dining room they allowed us to host our event there.
I can’t say thank you enough for the service we received it was wonderful and a memorable time with family and friends.
Thank you Jerry’s Seafood Team.

This is THE place to go if you want a good crab cake. This is it. I've gotten their crab bombs twice carry-out and they live up to the hype. It's a massive crab cake, with lump crab meat for days and good flavor. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend.

I love calamari. But out when it appears to be fried to perfection on the outside and the actual tastes like chewing rubber bands. Cream of crab soup was a little different than what I'm used to be because it had a hint of curry. However, it was good.

Jerry's is ok but nothing over the top. We have been here several times. We didn't get the traditional crab bomb. I believe this would be the best offering they have. The wife and I shared the Mariner's platter and it was just ok. The scallops, haddock and steamed shrimp were cooked well but the other items were meh. Nothing special. We also ordered the calamari. The calamari was not great this time and very regular. There were elements of just batter on the plate. I did enjoy the salad and homemade bluecheese dressing. I also got a cup of the cream of crab soup. It could have stood a little salt but i did enjoy eating it with the bread amd lumps of crab. I found the food overall to be bland. The service was good although our table didn't require a lot of attention. I think our server had a tough evening as he seemed worn down by the end of our dinner. My wife witnessed some tough customer interactions that may have contributed. Perhaps next ti e I will stick with the crab bomb.

I have been to Jerry's since COVID started. I have always gotten the crab bomb and it was always my go to. I have told people about this place and had Jerry's as one of my favorite places. Now it's not even on my list. Crab meat taste is awful and I am not going back. They taste like imitation crab meat. Please save your money. Not so good
