I was a bit reluctant to post a review for Popeyes, as it reveals my occasional indulgence in less-than-healthy food. However, when it comes to fried chicken, Popeyes is my go-to! Their spicy fried chicken is unmatched, and I have no clue how they make their mashed potatoes and gravy (maybe it’s better that way), but they are absolutely amazing.
By far the best Popeye's I have visited. Usually the food isn't as fresh. What I noticed is how busy the location is which translates into fresh food. There's a difference between hot lamp fresh and fresh from the cooker, fresh. This was really good chicken. That biscuit was still a hockey puck though.
Food was great, mild chicken was devoid of any seasoning but a bit of salt and pepper fixed it. I'm still pissed off they stopped selling the Cajun Rice and the onion rings but they keep those nasty fries and mashed potatoes and gravy. Macaroni and Cheese and Red Beans and Rice are the only decent sides they have but I don't need a midday case of the Itis...
