The dinning experience was unique and familiar oriented. I must say I will have to try and give this establishment another try based on the good service alone. My creole shrimp and grits, cornbread and sweet potatoes were filling.

The atmosphere clean and nice.
The mac n cheese too oily and tooo loose. The sweet potatoes good flavor, but not cooked enough. The greens were excellent. Upset that they do not offer a all vegetable plate. Sides are purchased separately. The drinks are one size, a small. Overall the it was ok. This is not a place that I would say ohhh let's go to Ruby's.

Location was clean, the decor was cute & outdoorsy and customer service was great. I got in line, placed my order and it was ready in about 10-15 mins. The food was phenomenal. I also ordered their house made sweet tea and it was so good! Everyone recommended each flavor so it was hard to pick. Happy with my experience here!

The Weigh-In

How are you a “Southern Comfort Kitchen” yet have ZERO hospitality??
Your staff is rude, and the food is just okay…wayyy overpriced. I won’t be back! Keeping my business at Carolina Kitchen where at least they’re welcoming and friendly!!

The food was pretty good. It was a lot more casual than I was expecting. I had the turkey wings with macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes. The sides were great, the turkey wings were a little dry for my liking, which was surprising because they were very saucy. It's not a full service restaurant. You place your order and have a seat, then they call your name and go back to the counter to get it. It is served in a takeout container. I'd give it another try.

On 10/18/24, around 3:30, I went to Ruby's, I asked how much is a salmon dinner and how much is a piece of salmon with a potato salad? Based on the price, I decided to get a salmon dinner that come with two sides, my sides (potato salad). I was told that I would be charged an extra $2 per potato salad (extra $4) for my order, because of the container they put the potato salad in. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

My 2nd time here and I wasn’t satisfied. My cabbage had no flavor and wasn’t fully cooked through. My chicken wings could have been fried a little longer, didn’t Like the taste of the sweet potatoes too sweet and also the mango lemonad ade just taste like sugar water…. However, The Mac and cheese was very good. For a $30 dollar plate, Not sure if I’ll come back again. Wish we had real southern cooking spots in the PG area.

The food is always amazing! This was no exception today. We ordered the food online and picked it up. It was hot and fresh when we picked it up and super tasty. My personal favorite is the barbecue chicken wings with cabbage and sweet potatoes. However, they have amazing fish and so many other tasty southern cuisines.
My only gripe, And it's a small one, is that it's not a traditional restaurant atmosphere. Meaning, you cannot sit down at the table and have table service with a waiter. But again, that small apples and will never deter me from eating frequently at Ruby's.

Kid-friendliness: They do not have kids meals. We will usually order the fish dish for our 7-year-old and 11-year-old to split. Maybe they could create smaller dishes meant for kids. Chicken tenders is always a hit, or a two-wing meal ...

Ive never had soul food with absolutely no seasonings until coming here. I was so disappointed. The mac and cheese and fried chicken literally broke my heart. But the staff was nice.

Got the blacken salmon and that was season well so it was the only thing I finished on my plate. Mac and cheese was very oily, cornbread tasted more like cake than bread and the greens tasted spoiled

If you're in the mood for soul food, Ruby's is definitely worth eating at. Their prices are reasonable and the food is good. Ruby's has a small self seating area if you want to dine in.

Kid-friendliness: Seems kid friendly.
