The catfish is the best hands down, eat it while it's hot.
The food and service were amazing! It was so worth it for my first time!
Very warm and inviting food is always hot and flavorful
The food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the catfish, with green beans & Mac & cheese, and blackened salmon, fried corn and hoppin’ John. The catfish filet was very thin and tasteless. The fried corn was boiled with seasoning and the Mac & cheese was unfortunately unseasoned. The service was really nice.
Spin off of Carolina Kitchen. Loved the blackened salmon...
The food was regular must’ve came at the wrong time of day or something.
Love the atmosphere, service was great. I do have something to say about the food. We ordered the turkey wings. They needed to be cooked a little bit longer. They were done but not tender. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.
Cons- BUYERS BEWARE! The Ruby Sips drinks are liquid diabetes on steroids! They have more sugar than any soda I've ever had. It's literally sugared water 👎🏽, EXTREMELY sweet. Please be advised: drink at your discretion. The restaurant is quite noisy in the small space. It's a small restaurant with an open concept dining area, but it's very loud.
Pros- The creamy mashed potatoes were more chunky than creamy, but they were good, and the gravy was good. The fried cabbage was great! The honey butter biscuit was good, soft, and fluffy but lacked honey butter. The roasted chicken was cooked well and seasoned well. The honey oatmeal cookie was good and slightly sweet, which I liked.
The noise level unfortunately can not be contained, but it's ok for carryout.
The food was delicious and you get a lot food for the price and the staff was friendly!
I purchased Fish and Ribs dinner. We were very disappointed in both of the dinners. The Ribs looked good but were nasty and old. They appeared to have been boiled, grilled, and warmed from the day before. My husband was not pleased with the fish dinner. The inside of the fish was very dry. We both had cabbage that were raw and also not good, but the collard greens were okay, and the biscuit was delicious. My niece had salmon and macaroni and cheese. She trashed it! I have visited this establishment many times, and this was my 1st bad experience. I'm not sure if it was because it was on a Sunday morning as soon as it opened. Upon entering, we were greeted and offered the Pork Ribs and was told that they were smoked and just came off the grill, which I do not believe was true. I wished we had stayed there and at least tasted this food before leaving. Money spent was wasted, but I have learned a lot from this visit.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had the fried fish dinner. It didn't taste like whiting, the fish didn't have that traditional fish fry taste. The mac and cheese was salty. The cornbread was okay. Not sure if it was made from scratch.
I’m an upcoming food content creator and I decided to take to take an hour drive to try Ruby’s. This is definitely my new soul food spot! I ordered the fried chicken wings, holy trinity greens and candied yams with an extra side of candied yams. Everything was amazing, I’m thinking about taking a drive back up again at the end of this week. My full review is on my instagram & TikTok @NaePutYouOn! I really recommend this place. 🔥
The staff were pleasant and courteous. The restaurant had a great vibe and clean atmosphere. My food was great.
All I got was mac n cheese and it tasted like a bucket of butter ……
