I’ve eaten at Timothy Dean’s several times without any complaints. The food was always very delicious, I particularly like the Chilean Sea Bass, my wife liked the mussels as a appetizer.
Excellent food - the Catfish Sandwich, Fried Sweet Potatoes and salad. The catfish was the best catfish I ever had and once I dipped it in the sauce, I was sold! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The salad was really good with the dressing it came with. Thanks to the Chef and the staff.
I wanted to try the food but I wasn’t able to. Here’s why. They’re on DoorDash and UberEats. I placed my order. The order was accepted. When the dasher got there, they told her they don’t use DoorDash. Now I’m confused because your restaurant is on the platform and you have to REQUEST that. The phone line was busy which doesn’t make sense for a restaurant. The dasher tried to pay and they wouldn’t let her. They told her I had to order online from their website. Here’s the kicker: there’s no option to do so. Poor service. Poor management. Guess I’ll eat at my locally white owned restaurant. I won’t accept poor service and you won’t get my money.
You can't beat the quality of this food anywhere! The mussels, butternut squash soup, sea bass...and the sauces.??? Highly recommend this HU brother's restaurant!
I've come to this restaurant at least 3 times over the quarantine. Once a week I've treated myself to Michelin-starred takeout or visited other small, high-end restaurants to get the perfect meal at home. Even though I frequently travel to DC and Annapolis, I'm fortunate enough to live pretty close to Timothy Dean, whose food does not usually disappoint, but today I was just really appalled by the food quality and the attitude of Timothy Dean himself. I attempted to order lobster mac about a month ago, but the person on the phone politely informed me that they were out of lobster. I ordered a steak instead. Tonight I ordered a different meal and decided to see if the lobster was back, so I pointedly asked "Is there lobster today for the mac and cheese" and the person on the phone responded "yes." It was under $20 so I figured the takeout portion was smaller than normal (other restaurants have done the same), but when I got home I was appalled to see this fake "krab" looking stuff in my food. Not a bit of lobster anywhere. I thought surely this was a mistake, but when I called the restaurant to complain, they put Timothy on the phone. He was shockingly unapologetic for the fake lobster, and repeatedly told me that real lobster is more expensive (as if I didn't know that), they've been out of lobster for months, and when I asked him to update meal description, he told me "the price should tell you that it's not real lobster." No refund offered (I didn't ask for one), and no apology whatsoever. In the last few weeks, I've dealt with only one other business that sent me home with food that was subpar, even for their standards, and they immediately offered a credit for my next order at their restaurant. Why is it so hard to find great service in PG County?
The atmosphere here is wonderful very classy and tasteful. The food is amazing and taste like it’s made by someone who takes pride in the craft of cooking a meal for someone else. You can show up dressed casual but it’s so nice you will feel underdressed. Definitely a hidden jewel and a favorite place to get away. Bartenders are welcoming and lovely, drinks have never missed a beat.
Nice place to go if your not in a rush and with a party of 4 or less

The food was delicious!!! The service was amazing.
The happy hour drinks are a nice size. I did see one of the people in the kitchen mixing a salad without gloves or a hair net though
Very nice experience and the food was delicious. My wife and ordered the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. The sea bass was parmesan encrusted under a bed of asparagus.
I must say I love this place! My husband took me here as a surprise for date night and I loved everything about it. The hostess was courteous and greeted us immediately, our bartender was a sweetheart, my catfish sandwich was the bomb, and his wings were good too! And my ceasar salad was delicious! We will definitely be back sooner than later!
I drove from D.C. to try the brunch - Chef Dean has a reputation for having a super clean space to include the kitchen which is open and a a big factor in the experience- The atmosphere was family lively to include couples out on dates on a Sunday morning - I had a hard time trying to decide what I wanted to order from the menu they had good options without trying to do too much - I decided on the jalapeño grits with catfish- interesting enough the couple sitting next me was struggling to decide what they wanted to order until they saw my plate come out - they ordered the same in addition to several additional sides - I have to say my meal was scrumptious- Chef Dean is quite visible and pops out to check on things I like that - I don’t endorse many things but this is a cool quality restaurant I recommend it
