Love the food. Hate the wait lol. Bread pudding was amazing. Seafood grilled cheese was amazing. Can't believe they are closed.

After consistently being sold out of food and having unreliable business hours, this place officially closed for business ( or at least that’s what their social media page said before removing the page). I gave it 2 stars because they occasionally had a salmon meal that I really enjoyed and will miss. It’s unfortunate when black businesses like these with so much potential, struggle and close. They likely had bad management, because they initially had a great thing going for them and squandered it completely.

Though I had never eaten here or even heard of this spot, I thought I'd take chance as the restaurants in the same area were overwhelmed... I checked them out online and thought I'd take chance. Everything sounded so good on the menu, I simply decided on four choices... Thankfully I was Not Disappointed.... Omg, the red velvet cheesecake took my breath away.. it was amazing.. The egg rolls and macaroni and cheese were also delicious. As for the wings, I should've requested all flats as I'm not a fan of the drumsticks... The food was not heavily seasoned, which works for me, however my other half wanted more seasoning to keep one from adding their own salt which is the ONLY reason they did not receive 5 stars. Pricing is of concern that I'd recommend management revisit. Anyway, I will be returning to try everything on the menu.. I Truly Recommend this restaurant based on this evening's purchases..

I read the reviews for this specific location and thought I would be avoiding a bad experience because I called my order in ahead of time. I placed my order over the phone and drove 20+ minutes to get it and then when I arrived they told me that they no longer had any salmon bombs available. I placed another order because at that point I was there and had to wait an additional 20+ minutes for it to be prepared. It is really unfortunate because the food is good, but the service is terrible. I also had a bad experience with the service when I visited the DC location. Management needs to do some reevaluating, especially with this being a black owned business, we want to see you win.

I have been attempting to try this spot for months so maybe my expectations were super high. The food was a little different than the ordinary restaurants in the area and so were the prices. I can't say I'd be running back anytime soon but the spot is definitely a place you should try. I got my order to go.

For starters, the food is extremely overpriced. I paid $26 for essentially two appetizers, the Mac and cheese and the Thai j*** chili wings. The quality of the food has gone down significantly, the Mac and cheese was UNDERCOOKED and extremely gritty in texture and the wings tasted pretty burnt. The only thing that saved the wings was the chili sauce. This restaurant needs to work on consistency in terms of the taste and quality of their food and re-evaluate their pricing and recipes. They should also consider setting up an online portal where customers can order food online instead of having to call it in and provide credit card details over the phone. I was excited to have a soul food restaurant in this area that actually had normal business hours but Victory restaurant has been a disappointment so far.

I really want to support you as a black owned business, but you must do better. When you first opened my meal was great, a bit pricey, but it was good. My second visit was okay but disappointed that I could not substitute out rice, that I don't eat, for another side, so I just ordered veggie instead of the salmon bomb. My third time tonight, COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED! I originally ordered the salmon bomb but was told that they were out so I switched to the shrimp and crab riggatoni. After waiting 20 minutes I checked on my order and was told that they had to make the rigatoni fresh. Twenty-five minutes later I was told that they were all out After waiting 45 minutes and 9pm. This is truly bad business! It was like, oh well! A good establishment would have at least offered some type of Compensation! Do better Black business. You won't be around long if you don't get it together. Truly sad!

First time having their food and it wasn't great. I ordered the "loaded yams", they weren't loaded with anything except sugar; I also ordered the brussel sprouts, however, I couldn't eat them because they had sesame seeds all over them, I'm highly allergic to sesame seeds; lastly, I ordered the Mambo Wings, they were undercooked and very sweet. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again.

What can I say. I was very disappointed. I called in to place an order to be informed literally more than half of the menu was sold out. Once I got there my food was not ready. I also had the displeasure of watching the chef refusing to take a persons take out order because it was not called in earlier. Very awkward and bad customer service. The fried chicken was the only thing that was good. The fried rice was not good. The corn was burnt. The Mac and cheese was too thick and dry. Don't go.

Ordered the spicy shrimp and crab pasta, wings and fried rice, and bread pudding. Pasta tasted regular, not too much crab, shrimp was a good size and tasty. Wings were the smallest wings I've ever seen, like they were made from chicks instead of chicken. Five tiny little wings on top of a bed of regular (meaning nothing special about it) fried rice for $20. Elsewhere this caliber of food would cost $8 or $10 maybe. The bread pudding was like three thick slices of brioche french toast. It wasn't bad but it wasn't really bread pudding in my opinion.

I ordered the Victory Omelette & Victory Burger for lunch. I enjoyed the omelette and the fried lobster. I did wish it came with toast so I toasted some bread when I got home. I'd definitely order it again. My friend said the Victory Burger was just ok. It did come with fries that we ended up putting in the air fryer. Overall I'd try this restaurant again and try other things from the menu.

Please do better black owned business. The salmon was undercooked, macaroni and cheese was runny. The banana pudding was very short on bananas. The greens were decent and well cooked. And the two stars were for the chili wings. When we asked for napkins the young lady deep breathed and took her time getting them. I get that not all days are the same but first impressions are lasting impressions. That was my family's first time trying Victory and it will be the last. We ordered (1) salmon with crab, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens, (1) salmon, fried rice and candied yams, (1) steak and cheese rolls, a side of macaroni and cheese, (1) j*** chili wings and (2) banana puddings

Not my favorite: I'm not sure I identified anywhere on the website to order online which would have been nice considering when I ordered takeout by phone, my credit card information was required for them to start making the order. Now that the world has moved to so many places being cashless / everything online nearly a year into this pandemic, it would have felt a lot more secure being able to enter my card information through a secure site as opposed to relaying it to a hostess by phone that had to repeat it out loud numerous times to get the number right. Pretty decent: I thought the Thai chili j*** wings were a solid hit. They were prepared well and tasty but weren't exceptional, in that they just tasted like a good wing I could have gotten from BWW or Wingstop but did not have any rave worthy notable flavors. This was also true about the shrimp fried rice I enjoyed much better after tossing in my wok and sprucing up with some of my own kitchen ingredients to elevate the flavor. We really enjoyed the chicken & churro waffle, too but would I call it anything unique or seemingly signature to Victory? Maybe not.... Loved: Victory's food looks phenomenal on their social media and they did not fall short on that with our takeout execution. The food looked as good when we got it, as it does in online posts and was made to order so it came out hot and fresh. I loved how every texture of each thing I ate was the texture and temperature it should have been from the crispy wings to the delectable waffle and perfect fry on the rice. There was also an appropriate amount of sauce on each item so we did not feel we needed any more or less to achieve the flavors intended. We are looking forward to returning to try more menu items in hopes that they have something that tastes exclusive to their kitchen and will be the thing that makes me want to update this review about what's most worth going out of your way for. I should note that my takeout out order was taken by a very pleasant young lady and was hot and ready in the time it was promised to be and was accurate with everything we asked for. Kudos to Ricardo Young & his team.

My apologies for the half eaten food in the pic but I couldn't help myself. This food was super bomb!! I had been hearing about them a lot but was a bit apprehensive to try it on Uber eats simply because sometimes delivery orders don't always work out well. The less said, the better. Either way, this food did not disappoint and when the world opens back up, I'll definitely be visiting again in person!

I've been to this spot 4 times. The best thing is a drink called the winner's circle w/ Hennessy and their crab fries. Outside of that it's "all sizzle no steak". The last time I went to Victory sealed their fate with me. I saw a roach crawling on the wall. The manager did his best to salvage our experience, however, when you think that to dine at this restaurant you have to be frisked, the prices are not reasonable, and the food is just ok.
