Mr. Dennis and Mr. Lloyd are fantastic and the food is delicious. The line is long, and moves so fast. Don't let the line discourage you. I will be going back. Thank you Carolina Kitchen, for your fantastic service. V/r S. Watts
Food was some of the best I've ever had and the atmosphere was great!

I paid forty five dollars and some change for this food. The lemon cake was good! The salmon was nasty! The sauce or something was spoiled! I just threw it away! I’ll just stick to the location in Largo! Just following the church folks on a meeting after church! I won’t be back.

Every time we come here, there’s always a wait for fresh food. If you know that you’re down to 3 pieces of chicken (dark or white), why not drop some. If you have no fish and you’ve been out of fish, cook some fish! It’s a dinner rush… let’s think
If you’re going to have me wait, and I was there 10 mins before Grandma Sheryl, I expect my plate to come out first when it’s done, not hers. Preferably with a bag and not just handing a hot plate to me.
And to the teenager who caught an attitude when I asked a clarifying question, it was a simple question for clarification. I would’ve expected a recent 2025 Westlake graduate to do better. Maybe focus on the food and customers instead of spitting game the homegirl to your right and the customers will be more satisfied

A few things we wanted on the menu, we were told they did not serve. Decent service altogether. 20 minute wait for one item we ordered. Advice: Update the menu and at least tell the customer when there is a wait BEFORE they pay. It gives them the option to choose something else. Good food though. I'd return but not on a Fri-Sun.

Holy Moly words cannot describe how bad I wanted to tear this down when I got home. I felt like a caveman fiening for food, eating in the car with my hands. Only 18 dollars too, I felt my hope in humanity rise when I saw the lady add another scoop of cheese into that plate.

We stopped here on a suggestion from a business assoc. We ordered the fried whiting meal with greens & yams. My husband ordered the smothered pork chop with Mac & cheese and collard greens. Both meals came with a super delicious cornbread muffin. Both meals were delicious and reasonably priced. No wait and place was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. You stand in line to order your food, which meant no long wait times for our food. Had enough to take home for another meal. Highly recommend this location!

I ordered the Whiting Fish & Candied yams with Potatoes Salad. I love the potato salad, perfectly seasoned as usually(consistently at Largo, Hyattsville & Brandywine locations) but the yams need flavor balance...I only tasted the candy(sugar). Fish was good and well seasoned. I prefer waiting(if possible) for a fresh batch right out the grease. I also enjoyed my half&half...perfectly sweet with ice but the country girl in me like the sweet tea!

Delicious. Compliments to the chef. When we want good hearty food (and don't want to cook) this is our spot. Always enjoyable.
Left out my mac and cheeses

Very disappointed in the food. The greens were so salty we could not eat them. The yams were runny and not cooked all the way thru. The chicken was ok but seemed like the middle of the white meat was undercooked. I spend $50. Definitely not worth it

My daughter and I drove from the Dahlgren Navy Base to eat lunch here. The restaurant was easy to find. We found a parking space on the street in front of the restaurant. Everything was neat and clean. You walk to the serving line to order food from steam tables. All of the food had a really good presentation. There were varieties of chicken, pork chops and salmon and vegetables. I ordered baked chicken with a golden gravy, mashed red skin potatoes, collard greens and cornbread. My daughter ordered smothered pork chops with rice, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, and carrot cake. I told the server that we would be eating there at the restaurant. Our food was put into takeout containers and placed in their takeout bags. Our meals were fresh, well-seasoned and delicious. The cashier was pleasant, but did not speak English. Otherwise, this was a very pleasant dining experience.
Great food, big portions. Just way too expensive
