I never got to try it ,I think the employees were racist ,being the only white guy in the store they walked past me 3 times to wait on people in front of me ,and behind me , I really wanted the double crab cake dinner ,but I was totally ignored . I've not tried since ,and won't .

When I first started going to this crab place it was pretty decent and the crabs were good. Maybe around 2019-2021. One time I placed an order and they shorted my crabs. I called and they partially resolved the issue because they still ended up giving me the wrong thing. I laid off of them for a while. I moved to a different area and wasn’t familiar with other places so I said let me go back to them. Ended up getting an order of crabs and the crabs weren’t fresh. You can smell the strong ammonia scent coming from the crabs. I called to allow them to know, but at the time I started having car trouble and took the L since I couldn’t get back to that side of town to deal with the issue. I simply said I just won’t bother with this business anymore. Now a year later I’m currently pregnant and wanted to get crabs, so my spouse went there to get me crabs and it’s the same issue. I opened the crab and instantly smelled the same scent not to mention they were mushy, had like a grayish color to it and still a lighter weight. I don’t know what happened but the quality of their crabs are just not good. I could’ve been terribly sick and at risk eating that mess especially being pregnant. Idk if it has anything to do with storage or still steaming a few crabs that may have been dead for a “shortened amount of time” for them but it’s a mess. Now the staff are generally kind. I haven’t had any issues with customer service I will say that.

I got the biggest male crabs on the menu, and the biggest female crabs, with a half dozen total. I received two separate bags and strategically the female crab bag was placed the the bottom bag. The male crabs were fine, no problems. However when I got to open the female crab bag, there was one XL female and two small to medium sized females. This has always been a fear of mine, to order crabs and they put the correct size crabs on the top and smaller crabs on the bottom just to misdirect you. Can what's crazy is that in my stupidity, I gave them a $10 tip for working with me on my order, as well as buy other items out of support. Nevertheless, I will never be returning, and will never approve or recommend this establishment to anyone.

I reached out to crab depot 3 times so they could make the order right before I left a bad review. I ordered a bushel of blue steamed crabs for $202.00. The claws were mostly dried and over seasoned. Seasoning needed brushed off. Was no the best of quality. The same day they ran a special for $169.00 and I also ordered a bushel to be delivered on September 25 2025. I was sent an email saying not sure of day and I confirmed it in the email and by phone and was told it would be delivered on September 25th. Order was sent on August 9th and the bushel I picked up, which I drove from Pittsburgh pa to pick up was on August 7, 2025. So I had to clean out freezer to fit delivered order in and sent email on mistake. Plus this crabs were very dry over seasoned most of the crabs were garbage and inedible. Not one crab was sweet. Not one claw could be eaten. Terrible! I reached out in email 3 times and no one responded except girl I talk to saying crabs would not be sent until 9/25/25 that were sent 08/09/25 and inedible. I've ordered from crab depot in the past and received good service and quality. This time service was horrible and quality was worse. They can not be eaten. I still have them frozen in freezer for evidence if it made me sick. Some crabs tasted spoiled. I would never order from crab depot ever again. I don't recommend anyone order from this company. They certainly don't care if you received spoil product and don't try to make it right.

DO NOT EAT HERE. They serve you SPOILED and OLD seafood. I should’ve listened to the guy at dollar tree who told me he got sick eating here. I ordered 2 and 1/2 pounds of crab claws. Took them home and EVERY. SINGLE. Claw was dried and shriveled up like SpongeBob when he needed water. I saved one container to take back because the other was tossed. The manager gave me a redo of the amount i brought back but said I couldn’t get my full amount back because I didn’t bring the claws I tossed out -_-. He was overall all rude. I take the crab claws home and YALL. THE MEAT SMELLS LIKE A MALE FERAL CATS PISS. STRAIGHT AMMONIA. That means the crab was spoiled and decomposing. Needless to say do not come here. The seafood is grade F and I’m reporting them to the health department.
