I enjoyed the impossible burger. More vegan sides and sauces would be nice. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-11
Finally made time to stop in for a birthday dinner at the Middletown location and it did not disappoint! Burgers were cooked perfectly. Fries were amazing too! Highly recommend. Plus the staff was friendly and worked efficiently as the busy time just kicked in after we placed our first order.
The food is top notch!!!! We weren’t sure what to expect but I was totally impressed by it. The Melting burger is incredible, and I’m not a big French fry person but the fries are on point. 10/10 burger joint
Just ordered from the Boxcar Burgers location in Middletown (Alekos old spot). Super Yummy! Got the smash burger and fries, both were awesome and my hubby got the crispy chicken, he loved it! So happy we finally got a great carry out burger spot! 💯🔥

Friendly staff- super fast service. Ordered the Boxcar and asked cashier what she would recommend:” The melting out” CRAZY GOOD! The fries “ slapped” according to my teen. I agree.

Boxcar Burgers in Brunswick, MD is a great local spot! The burgers are fresh, juicy, and full of flavor you can really taste the quality. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere has that nice small town charm. Definitely one of the best burger places around! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The burgers were good as always. I recommend the boxcar burger (yes with the beets), which you can get original or as I prefer with an impossible meat patty.

Nice place for lunch along the C&O tow path. We stopped here for lunch on our way from Williamsport to DC. I had a grilled chicken sandwich special with chips and a soda. It was quite tasty. Nice interior. Good seating for our group. Very friendly staff. Would stop again.

Stopped here for lunch while on a family bike ride on the C&O. Burgers were excellent with fresh made patties from local beef. Only thing better than the food was the service, which was fast, friendly, and attentive. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Brunswick

Happened upon this spot while visiting Harper's Ferry. Grilled chicken mushroom swiss and mushroom swiss burger were both delicious. Got a sandwich, housecut fries (I believe) and a canned drink for $15. Well worth it. They also have ice cream, which appears to be homemade- my son had a scoop of pumpkin spice and it was yummy!

Boxcar is delicious. The fig and goat cheese burger is my personal favorite. And the brussel sprouts are a must try even if you don't like sprouts! Great hot dogs too. This place is a gem. Don't miss it!

Decent burgers and chicken sandwiches in a boxcar cafeteria setting. Offering burgers, fries, and a host of other tasty options including local ice cream, a variety of canned beverages, and I think I saw a few beers in the case. The burgers and fries were very good! The staff were friendly and helpful. As we were unfamiliar with the ordering process where you select your protein, your “bread” of choice, side, and beverage for the special on a kiosk. I would come here again. The seating is not very inviting. Maybe they don’t want guests to linger? And something as simple as bottled ketchup and mustard, salt and pepper and decent napkins would up the game just a tad. I’m not a fan of to go packets when dining in. We did not try the ice cream, but I’m sure it was delicious. I would absolutely come again, although maybe I will just order to go next time. I think that’s their focus anyway.
