First off, I loved the decor. Very cute and fitting for the area. For a drink, I got a choptank orange crush, and my husband got the berry bourbon smash. His drink was delish, my first drink did have a gnat in it, but when I let the staff know they quickly got me a new one, and it did taste pretty good. For an appetizer, we got the oyster Rockefeller and it was very good too. For my main I got the carb bucatini and woah, that was delish. Would 100% come back for that. So so good. Husband got fish en papillote and I didn’t care for it. He said it was okay but needed salt but all I could taste was the smoked paprika in it. For dessert we got the caramel beignets and they were also delish! And on top of it, the staff were so kind.

The Blue Point Provision Company, located at the Hyatt Chesapeake, offers good food from the land and sea with an amazing view of the Choptank River. Musts here include the oysters Rockefeller and braised beef short ribs (which sits on top of saffron risotto). Service was pleasant and friendly, with our waiter checking on us at regular intervals. There's inside and outside seating. If the weather is nice and you want to dine with a view, highly suggest sitting outdoors. Pro tip: If you don't feel like taking the ~10 minute stroll to the restaurant, have the front desk call a golf cart to come pick you up.

We are staying at the marina which is another real disappointing point :-) It has been a long time since I have eaten here and it will be a very long time if ever I come back. The service was great , friendly and efficient. But lets start from the beginning...we ate at 8:00 pm not late not early, but we were told they were out of oysters and salmon ...really , on limited menu already and they were out of two prime items at a seafood restaurant in the heart of oyster country ! My friend wanted a house salad and they brought him mixed greens stuffed in soup cup ...i am not kidding! My wife and eye had the melon and mozzarella salad ...melon balls and mozzarella balls on a plate !!! I ordered as did several of us, the grouper and broccolini. Fish piece 3 inches by 3 bland with some type of tasteless white sauce Nothing about this place says upscale experience. Food is awful and the Hyatt should be ashamed to have their name on this place Don't waste your time ...one last joke , two of is asked for coffee after our dinner. They brought coffee to us in a PAPER CUP Such a disgrace to be called a Hyatt restaurant

Blue Point Provision is a beautiful half mile walk from the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The views from this establishment are amazing, the service was fantastic, and the food was excellent. This is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in the area.

Enjoyed the Fish Scampi while my wife Enjoyed the Drunken Shrimp. The crab appetizers were excellent. Our waiter was stretched handling inside and outside tables. Thought of hanging out for drinks and appetizers on the deck another night but the appetizers didn't appeal to us.....

I really like the atmosphere, but the service was lacking big time. I appreciate the manager comping our food, but this was a combination of failed service and food execution. A lot of sand in my crab boil. Had reservation and took a while to get sat, after that, at least 10 minutes before water hit the table and took 15 minutes after drink orders were in for them to hit the table from the bar.Apps sent late and entrees sent around 1 minute after apps. Oysters in half shell warm obviously sitting in window far past their time.Wife got the short rib, it had a great flavor. But a total miss on the seafood.Staff disjointed with no clear leadership. I only say this as an ask to improve rather than to smear this place.Owners: Give it some direction and let the view and atmosphere speak for itself. Do the basics well and most people like myself will happily sign the check at full price.

Food was amazing. Chef is on top of flavor and new menu. So good from the watermelon salad the shrimp ceviche and drinkin shrimp with Thai flavoring. Burst of flavor on the first bite. And of course corn bread was tender

Hyatt recommends this place so Thursday nights but does not recommend a reservation. Host essentially told us to leave because they were backed up. Make a reservation or get kicked out - politely but not even any consideration for something to open.

Service and atmosphere are amazing. The food was lacking flavour. Presentation and plating are on point, but seasoning was forgotten. Can't say enough how amazing the service and pub tenders are. Cheers for that.

I feel like this restaurant needs a up to date review. The restaurant is no longer doing the seafood buffet that they were doing coming out of the pandemic and are back to having an a la carte menu. It's a little confusing because it still says it's a seafood buffet on the website but when you click on the menu pdf it is the current menu for the restaurant. Someone at Hyatt needs to take the time to update the restaurant description. Our party of six (4 adults and 2 kids) had a great dinner last night. There was an issue with one of our entrees being very delayed but the server handled it very graciously and made it right. Everything else with dinner went smoothly and the food was delicious.

The service was disappointing and the food was average and expensive for what it is. My husband ordering a drink from the bar that was sitting to be picked up from the waitress. We had to ask for it after waiting 10-15 minutes for it. The crab pasta and crab soup both had shells in it. The restaurant seemed chaotic. Would not go back. Online states a buffet but they do not have one. Would be a good place to go and get drinks and sit on the deck.

Came in for a couple’s dinner and we enjoyed ourselves. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious. We both got the 12oz steak. Mine was slightly over cooked, I asked for medium and got borderline well, but it was still juicy and flavorful. We did have to wait some time for the food, but the waitress consistently kept us up to date and kept our drinks full. We dined outside right at sunset on the well maintained deck. Overall, we were very happy with the overall experience. Great food, good service and good atmosphere. It is pricy but I feel it was worth it. We didn’t spend a lot of money for decent food and decent service. We spent a lot of money for delicious food and good service so I’d eat here again.

We at here in the last night before they closed for the winter. The food was amazing but the views were breathtaking. We got the buffet. It was expensive but it was worth it.The staff was very nice. They even gave us extra cornbread for us to take home.I can’t wait to go back. This place really makes you feel like you’re on vacation.
