Nice spot to grab some tasty sandwiches or soup. Everything was fresh and good. You order at the counter and they bring out the food to your table when it is ready. Got a chicken salad on ciabatta and a Rueben sandwich. Quick service and iced tea was so good too.

Delicious sandwiches in a cute location. It is also a ministry to the needy. We enjoyed our lunch.

Great food and services. You cannot beat the prices they are an excellent group. The staff are volunteers and work the cafe so that there is a place in the community with good food at an affordable price. Homemade sweet tea! Try the superglue with ham and turkey. Highly Recommend!

Overflow Cafe is 1 of my 20 favorite non-chain restaurants. This is one of the many local restaurants that I love for the concept but a lot more than that. The place is a ministry of sorts, as it's like the food version of a Christian Store, but less Bible thumpy, or as a paraphrase of their slogan says, "spreading the gospel through hospitality and love." How is this relevant to someone who doesn't want to go to a Christian restaurant? Very! You'll see Christian decor, and the "owner" (he hates titles, but he DID found the place) is a reverend, but they won't be preaching to you unless you ask of it. The best part restaurant-wise is that almost all funds for the place come from church offering, and the workers are volunteers, so you are basically paying for the food and nothing else. In other words, the food is worth half of what you're paying for! I got the most expensive sandwich, the Overflow Club, with pasta salad and a sweet tea all for about $9! On top of that, although a smaller server than I'd like (I got 2 of those cups) the pasta salad was the best pasta salad I've had in a while. While all surrounding restaurants will charge at least twice the price, Overflow Cafe supports the neighborhood with many different phenomenal events, cheaper price, and fantastic hospitality not ot mention great art! If you ever in Cambridge, go to 400 Muir Street for this experience. It's only coincidental that my journal (to the right of the table) is very fitting for this place haha.

Visited today after sightseeing at a local museum and I'm so glad we dropped in. Had great sandwiches and conversation with the staff, who couldn't be nicer. They really went out of their way to make customers feel comfortable, the food was great and just an overall delightful experience. Thank you!!!!

I wonderful local place to eat, which supports a humane organization. I had one of the best Capri sandwiches I ever had. Generous, and with actual pine nuts in the pesto. The homemade vegetable soup was delicious. I had the sandwich, cup of soup (again, generous), and a glass of ice tea for about $8.50! Go there if you're in the Cambridge area, or even passing through on your way to the beach.Vegetarian options: Well, the pesto sandwich, and vegetarian vegetable soup. Most likely other options.Kid-friendliness: A warm friendly atmosphere. The lady who worked there was welcoming and personable. I thought I saw games, etc, for kids to do.Parking: Some parking right next to the building, but plenty right on the side streets all around.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor entrance, and parking our front.

Stopped in from out of town before a meeting, held in an adjacent room. The cafe is cozy with lots of windows, definitely a local vibe. Greeted right away. I ordered a regular black coffee and was given option of light or dark. I drink my coffee black, and it was early, so I went dark. For a 16 oz., I paid $1.25 for a “smooth Mexican blend,” according to the server. I expressed that was a deal. The server then informed me that Overflow Cafe workers are all volunteers, which keeps the prices low. The coffee was indeed a high quality dark smooth roast, and I appreciated that the business is there to support the community. Enough said. Skip Starbucks and all other chains. Support this place.
