Went for Valentines day they had a special menu and everything we ate was amazing. Possibly the best restaurant we have ever been too.

Went in by myself, I was going to get seated at the bar but no seats available so I sat at a table, I waited 20 minutes never even had anybody approach. And then asked the waitress tending a table next to me if I could place an order, she said, yes didn't see her again waited in another 10 minutes and left, never did get waited on what terrible, rude service, can't imagine. Go to old salty's ,Boats and hose or suicide bridge restaurant. Much better service at these, I would never go back here.

Overall experience was great. Late summer dinner over the water. Menu had something for everyone. From wings to fresh fish, prime rib and great soups and appetizers. Drinks were good and prices were reasonable . Service was a little slow but friendly.

Great staff, yummy seafood options and relaxed, locals atmosphere. One of my happy places!

We came from Florida hoping for a great meal — big mistake. The moment we walked in, it was confusing where the hostess was, and the staff’s energy was flat and annoyed.

My husband’s prime rib was fatty and flavorless, the waitress insisted we “try the middle” after I already complained, and my clams were mushy and seemed reheated. The mac & cheese was just noodles with melted cheese.

For $32, we got 4 oysters, a baked potato, mac & cheese, and 2 shots — barely worth it. The only redeeming items were the $5 shots and loaded oysters. Overall, a completely disappointing first stop on our trip.

I enjoy eating here when I visit my mother in Cambridge as we like the draw bridge and the likes but the food is pretty hit or miss and they definitely use frozen SeaPak shrimp for their boom boom shrimp which feels criminal for a seafood restaurant. Really dropped the score.

I went to Portside Seafood Restaurant in Cambridge and had a genuinely great experience.
From the start, the service stood out. My waitress—whose name I did catch—made me feel immediately at home. She was attentive, warm, and thoughtful without being overbearing. What really impressed me was her awareness: her entry points were always natural, and she actually knew the associate I was meeting, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than routine.
The food was excellent. The bacon fries alone were a full meal—crispy, loaded, and indulgent in the best way. Easily one of those dishes you remember after you leave.
I also really enjoyed the merlot. Smooth, easy-drinking, and a perfect complement to the meal and atmosphere.
Overall, it was just an all-around solid experience: great service, great food, and a welcoming vibe. Portside does what it’s supposed to do—and does it well.

Great, great atmosphere friendly servers, but The food SUCKS. Been there about 10 times in the past two years and the food has a straight let me down Every single time to the point, I just don’t go there anymore unless someone pays for my meal.

C- at best. We had the oyster dinner and oyster stew with casino oysters. The couple next to us were smelling their unfinished meal and decided to leave after a few bites.
