When I got there there was no oxtail or curry goat, or plantains… that threw me off. Their curry chicken didn’t taste like authentic curry very bland, the jerk chicken had zero spice and tasted like regular grilled chicken I couldn’t even taste the jerk. The rice and peas weren’t as bad but coming from a Caribbean background the food did not meet my expectations and I wouldn’t come here for main course meals, maybe side dishes like patties. The food could use a lot more flavor !

Place was ok. The Mac and cheese had no flavor and was very dull/bad tasting (just flavorless noodles) Plantains were very thin, jerk chicken was ok. We really want to like it. We paid almost $50 for our meal. It was disappointing and we won’t be back.

The food was insanely good—bursting with flavor! I highly recommend trying the oxtail and the mac and cheese; it’s seriously next-level. For the quality and portion size, the prices are more than fair—totally worth every penny. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, which just adds to the great experience. Bonus: if you’re not in Virginia, she also has another location in Maryland, so you’ve got options!

I had curry chicken the chicken barely tasted like curry it was just bland with dry potatoes no gravy the macaroni and cheese and rice& peas flavor was bland non existent the mac and cheese was disappointing jus one blob of cheese melted on top and plain noodles underneath no flavor or cheese throughout I’m so disappointed for 15.00
I expected more i didn’t enjoy it guess ill stick to the beef patty & cocoa bread from now on

It’s my second time to visit this place. food is so authentic with real Jamaican flavors. I tried curry goat and stew chicken was too good.I appreciate Grandma JAS carrying the homely recipes in the Fairfax city .

Picked up the jerk chicken and a side...worse faked Jamaican food anywhere !! Tasted like unsold food from 2 days before..fried dumplings were like concrete..only reason I didn't return it,I was 3 miles away when I tried it and decided It would be wasted gas, so I stopped at Safeway and dump it all in their trash can...**FAKE ADD...NO JAMAICAN FOOD HERE **
Great food great service!!!

Alright, imma just start by saying the rice and plantains were just decent (nothing special so that loses a star) BUT those beef patties and Oxtails...those were SO GOOD! I got the smaller portion of the Oxtails and it was more than enough for two meals which is always a plus. I had the patty fresh (they had just opened) and it was flaky, juicy, spicy, really all the things you want from the pattie. This takeout spot is a bit far from me, but the food is 100% worth the trip.

The food is absolutely delicious, the meat is tender and fall off the bone and the mac and cheese is so delicious it made my boyfriend cry 😂 it also has a boba shop inside as well with a huge array of options! It's truly amazing and the staff are so kind and personable and sweet! The prices are amazing as well, I'll be trying to go as often as I can!

I love the food here! After living in Jamaica years ago, it has been such a blessing to find this place with the best authentic and delicious Jamaican food! We live out of state but this is our favorite place when we are in the DC area. We have tried many of the dishes, and all are great. The jerk chicken and curry goat are my favorites. And the stew chicken. All sooooo good. The owners are wonderful people, too! We had them cater a party for us and all of our friends and family loved the food! Visit this restaurant or their food truck and you will enjoy!
