A little less salt would make it great for me. Thus, I'd go more often. But the variety of southern cuisine is good, and they have a plant base version. The service is great, which makes the dining experience even better in a nice atmosphere.

During my recent visit, I ordered two combo meals, expecting the chicken and shrimp skewers to include the usual portions. As pictured on the site. However, I received only three pieces of shrimp total. When I inquired about the skewers, I was informed that this was not the case at my location, which was disappointing because I was not informed of that when I was ordering and paid!
Additionally, when I asked to purchase more shrimp, the cashier quoted $2.99 per shrimp but offered a reduced price of $1.99 per shrimp instead. This pricing felt excessive given I had just paid $49 for two meals and waited additional time for the non chicken and shrimp skewers! Overall the experience was unpleasant which is unfortunate because I was only in there for 20 min getting my food to go.

10/10 highly recommend! The food is absolutely delicious!! The regular menu and the plant-based options are outstanding. This place has gotten all of my paycheck recently. I've gone 3 times a week over the past month. So worth it too.

Heard that they had vegan options at this location and was surprised by the options available. I just wish they weren't so expensive. A warm entree with 2 sides for $25 and a 5 peice vegan wing for $13.99? Sadly thatstoo much for me. I'll stick with the other vegan location around the corner from them. Other than the price, atmosphere was great and the service was ok. Long lines but the employees were all pleasant and helpful.

Vegetarian options: Vegan wings, a few other vegan proteins and vegan sides all in the same section.

It’s Sunday my daughter’s birthday, let’s go to Carolina Kitchen, years back we went to the one in Hyattsville only to be disappointed due to it was so crowded we didn’t want to wait. This year checked on other locations and found the one in Capital Heights. We are from Arlington and it was going to take almost 45 minutes to get there and couldn’t leave until 4, hoping we could get there before the dinner rush. Finaly got there at around 5, and to our surprise it was no where near crowded, walked in and saw few people seated and small line of people waiting for food. We waited at the hostess desk and no one came, so I asked if someone was supposed to be there, I was then advised that they were not a full service restaurant, and to get in line get your food and sit where you want. We came this far so might as well go for it, so we got in line and the food looked absolutely delicious, they asked what we wanted and wrote it on the carryout containers at that point did get a little PTSD, from restaurants that have made mistakes, and you end up with the wrong order, but this was not the case here, we receive everything as ordered even though our orders were separated from each other. Get to the cash register and the total for the 3 of us was 95 dollars, a bit of a shock, but when we sat down to eat we broke it down and it was worth every penny, some places shrink portions to keep prices down, that was not the case here, the food was as delicious as it looked and the portions were more than adequate, actually in the case of the chicken had enough for a second meal. Overall the only problem was the time it took from telling them what you want to the time you get your order, which became apparent when we ordered the catfish to go, but what can you say great food can not be rushed. This became another birthday to remember, will I be back, coming from Virginia it’s hard to say, but if you live in the area and you want some good southern cooking this is the place to go.
