“When I first moved to Capitol Heights, I assumed that I would have to travel far for vegetarian/vegan food or make it myself. And how surprised was I that there was a vegan restaurant down the road! Each day the menu changes, so you could have a favorite every day of the week. And the portions! You can make SEVERAL meals out of one dinner. Is it cheap? NOPE! But something that's good for your body AND soul shouldn't be.”

“Memory lane. My old friend used to get food from here and share it with me. I didn't know that and didn't understand why she braved through the hood for this place until I left the DMV area. It's worth it. This was the first place that I was introduced to Chinese carryout food and mumbo sauce. Check this out: Mumbo sauce is a DIP for fried chicken wings and not a wet rub. The correct and best way is to dip your fried chicken wings in the mumbo sauce (like you dip your wings in ranch dressing). If you want to smother your wings in mumbo sauce, then that is your personal preference, but anyone or any place serving the wings to you already smothered in mumbo sauce is wrong. Mumbo sauce is pink and is supposed to come in a condiment cup (just like ranch dressing). Another thing: The wings here taste good on their own and better with mumbo sauce. Best wings in the DMV. Best mumbo sauce in the DMV. Best wings & mumbo sauce pairing in the DMV. I said it. I left the DMV years ago and there is no American Chinese carryout that compares to this place in my travels. Trust me, only NYC Chinese carryouts can dare compete. I only took off a star because of my ordering experience years ago. I brought my brother here to order carryout because I am not brave enough to go to the hood by myself, and the lady who took my order was rude, not nice, unfriendly, unwelcoming, the worst. It's as if I wasn't a human being. If I wasn't determined to have my brother taste the food (he agreed that it tasted really good), then I would have turned around and said forget it.”

“This is a local hidden gem! This is a carryout so you can not eat in. But when I tell you the food is delicious... it's delicious. This is one on those place you go to when you want to feel like you're eating home cooked food. I always go for the breakfast and it never disappoints. Jenny, the owner, is so kind and if you order from there more than once SHE REMEMBERS YOU!! Now that is the type of costumer service you want to get when you spending your coins! I definitely recommend this place. It's well worth the money!”

“There's something about five guys that burgers have lost this flavor. They really don't have much taste like as long as you say when I go there. Now I just want a milkshake and maybe the fries. They might want to look into going back to a premium hamburger or season it for the price they charge. The standards should be super high”

“I just found out about this place on 1/20/2026, and had my first order with them on 1/21/26 and let me tell yall, the food is so good! There’s a bit of a wait since the food is made to order, but you won’t regret it🙂‍↔️ everything has great flavor and isn’t salty or anything of the sort, it’s all balanced so well! It was so good, I came back the next night on 1/22 for the oxtail bowl😂. Oxtail are tender to perfection, the cabbage and Rasta pasta sides are soooo good! Everything is a 20/10!”

“Had breakfast at White Corner Restaurant this morning and their pancakes were fluffy and huge. The coffee was hot and they kept refilling it without me having to ask. My eggs came out exactly how I ordered them and the hash browns were crispy on the outside. Good spot for a weekend breakfast, wasn't too crowded either.”

If you need someone to teach your cook how to make it, I am willing to help you out. The fish and chicken platter was deceiving. It offered full wings but we got small wingettes instead. Overall, I would only order the crabs again from this establishment.”

Now, we don’t have the original Baltimore Yak to compare it too, however this was so delicious 🤤 that we don’t feel the need to even take that trip. The space was clean and inviting for a carryout.
