“This place is soooo good! The first time I went I went back the next day! The nachos are AMAZING I’m pretty sure they cooked them fresh because I’ve never had tortilla chips that fresh and delicious. The empanadas were perfectly crispy and delicious. I’m leaving this review because I’m trying to decide what to order next. The only thing I would change is training for the young man at the cash register. He is a kid so I don’t expect him to get it 100% correct but I think some training on customer service (greeting customers, speaking loudly, substitution of items) would help. I highly recommend this place!”

“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!”

“We went for the summer restaurant week. You get a cold and a hot appetizer, assortment of sushi and a dessert. We opted for the soft shell crab and shabu shabu ramen, both were delicious and served hot out of the kitchen. Sushi is top quality and decadent of course. Hojicha pudding is uniquely toasty and silky.

Not all RW deals are worth going, but I’d recommend the selection at sushi taro for the quality and the value of the food.”

“Such a superb dining experience. I was solo so sat at bar and my waiter went above and beyond with exceptional wine and food knowledge and service. The food was subtle, creative and beautifully balanced. Everything just worked. I find US restaurants rarely have ambiance but Tail Up had great lighting even if dining room was fine but unremarkable. It was a brilliant experience of a brilliant kitchen, sommelier and serving team. Thanks for a DC highlight”

Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. It felt like we were in nyc enjoy :)”

“I was looking forward to eating at Albi having lived in the Middle East. Delicious modern take on Arabic staples. Lamb kebab was delicious. In fact everything was gorgeous. The disappointing thing is the acoustics. I do not have hearing problems. However, we had to shout all night and couldn’t hear the waiter or the sommelier which wasn’t much fun as talking to the staff about the food and wine is usually enjoyable. The tables are just that bit too wide to enable you to chat to the person opposite without shouting and leaning. It was just all wrong. It’s a shame as obviously you eat “family style” but I found it quite stressful. It’s a very nice dining room but too many hard surfaces to make it comfortable. I felt like I was in a cafeteria. I recommend going in a twosome and sitting next to each other so that you can chat whilst enjoying the food. Perhaps opposite the fire.”

“Anju truly made our anniversary celebration a night to remember. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. They surprised us with a beautifully handwritten anniversary card—a thoughtful and personal touch that set the tone for the evening. As if that weren’t enough, they also treated us to celebratory drinks, both at the start and the end of our meal. It was a heartwarming gesture that made us feel incredibly valued as guests.

The food was an exquisite journey through modern Korean flavors. We started with the Half Chikin, perfectly crispy and tender, followed by Sogogi Mandu, which was bursting with flavor. The Seoul Fashioned cocktails were expertly crafted, providing the ideal balance of flavors to complement each dish. The Set of Three offered a delightful variety, while the Dolsot Bibim Bap was comforting and satisfying, bringing all the traditional flavors of Korea with a refined twist. The Ssam Board was a highlight, allowing us to create our own bites, each one as flavorful as the last. The Ori Jjajangmyeon and Jujube Sticky Toffee Pudding were both standouts, adding a unique and delicious twist to familiar Korean flavors.

Anju’s ambiance, attentive service, and culinary creativity made for a perfect evening. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience, especially for special occasions. Anju, thank you for making our anniversary unforgettable!”
