This place use to have the best vegan food. I've been a customer for over 15 years..so I didn't mind the pricey menu items. Now, I'd say, since they moved to the new building...the quality of food and service has tanked. Tasteless. Cold. Nasty. Can't understand what I'm asking for. Even the customer base has changed. I used to see professionals, well-minded, healthy individuals and now I only see people wanting something quick to eat. I stopped past the other day and ordered a burger..disgusting. It had me sick for 3 days from GERD..all the unnecessary sloppy toppings! I hate to stop patronizing this establishment especially since its black owned. I really did love, love, love the food. No longer. Another company trying to cut costs in this insane economy. I get it but this place has done an 180 and not for the better. I gave it 1 star because of the sweets and juice that they source other companies are still good. Other than that I'll keep my $35 for 1 nasty burger, cold tasteless fries, 1 drink and 1 cake. The mungbean salad and rice bowls were my favorite and even those don't taste the same. Word of advice maybe use your own people to cook the food and go back to the original recipes, because, it's off. This review is only after continuing to return and hoping I was visiting on a bad day and still getting the same results. Kinda annoyed, so yea.

WHEW THIS FOOD IS GOOD. My first time & just visiting in town and I was blown away by the variety, quality, and kindness of this place. Everyone was helpful and excited for me to try their yummy food. They helped me pick the best options for my preferences, offered me samples, and were super patient with my indecision. I highly recommend!

Awesome food ,
Today , some sick lady with a dog with a fake service vest on , brought that mutt into the restaurant, thank God for the employees who respectfully ask her to leave .
She was a trouble maker trying to cause a problem, but animals shouldn't never be allowed human food . Keep it up and the next virus will wipeout all mankind

It was ok for fast casual food , it somehow tasted really processed. The cookies were fantastic and the juice was fabulous.

This is a first time review. The elife barbque burger was outstanding! And the greens tasted better than my mama's and my mama can cook! Excited to return before I head back to Detroit

last standing of the old-school DMV vegan soul food. decent food. the restaurant and store are not fancy, so if you're into that sorta thing you might not dig dining in. takeout & delivery are options.

Wow. This food is disgusting! It doesn't even look appealing! There is no flavor. We didn't even want to eat all of it and wasting food is a huge pet peeve. The drinks are the only items they should still be selling. Something happened. This place is not what it used to be. The staff was ok...no issues there. For vegan options, check out Carolina Kitchen, which is right across the parking lot.
