As a proud Jamaican, finding authentic Jamaican food that truly hits the spot is rare but Hot Pot Grill not missing a beat! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff provided top-tier customer service, kid friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest leaves satisfied.

Now let’s talk about the food. Every bite was a trip back home. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with that smoky, spicy kick we all know and love. The oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavor, and served with rice and peas that tasted like Sunday dinner at Granny’s. Even the festival and plantain were fried to golden perfection.

Hot Pot Grill doesn’t just serve food they serve love, culture, and heritage on a plate. If you’re looking for real Jamaican flavor in a welcoming environment, this is the spot. I’ll be back again and again.

Big up to the whole team at Hot Pot Grill unnu a do it big! 🇯🇲🔥

The food was enjoyable, however, I did notice that the chicken wasn't cleaned thoroughly as there were multiple feathers on mine🥴

He asked me what I wanted behind the counter . Put everything on my plate then put it in the microwave? That’s weird. Food so bland

My and my daughter's favorite place to get oxtails and jerk whatever. Not big, just a place with steady traffic and good food. Decent serving sizes. Do expect a little wait for your food as they aren't keeping things under a heat lamp waiting for customers to pick it up. Call ahead may be the best route for sike folks, but I haven't minded waiting as the staff are welcoming and place is calm.

Im so irritated by the amount of money I spent on this delivery order. The food was completely tasteless and I don't know how thats even possible with ackee and saltfish. It was bland as all get out and simply covered in pepper. 1 star for the chicken patty which was decent.

If I could give this a 0 star I sure tf would. Ordered oxtails GARBAGE. Oxtail were tough I literally got 5 huge tough untrimmed oxtails that has NO FLAVOR an ordered a large at that. Got tons of overcooked rice. Got a size of jerk sauce TRASH super sweet with not an ounce of heat. For $24 I’m utterly pissed will be ordering from a REAL Jamaican eatery from now on. A waste of money.

The brown stewed chicken was piping hot and very tasty! The plantain wasn't to my liking. They were too green. I prefer ripe sweet plantain.
Extremely limited seating.

Hop pot grill is a Jamaican restaurant, I recently visited this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted by the warm aroma of authentic Jamaican cook, food, which made my mouth water in anticipation. As I chat with the cashier and the chef, I couldn't help but admire the eclectic decor that celebrated our Jamaican culture. The friendly cashier was lovely in every way, it was so difficult to choose just one dish. Overall, the menu offered a delightful array of options, from jerk chicken to curried goat, each promising a burst of flavor. By the time I finished my meal, I knew I would love to returning to Hop Pot Grill for another unforgettable culinary journey.

On and off over a year… the reviews on here are honest the patty is good most times but gone by 5pm come back another day hush. Real Yaadi will find that their oxtail and soup are the best in the area. However… Jerk lacks authenticity and taste like pan baked brown stew with a splash of jerk seasoning. Curry goat is almost as good as irie cafe, but the curry chicken is the worst on the whole east coast. Sometimes as slimy as old steam cabbage. Maybe it’s time to recycle the chef. Musical vibes is there but strangely too tiny of a space. Instead consider a private location or the backyard at night so the bar will sell off.
