They are the most welcoming bunch of people! Family owned and generation carried this restaurant has held the Nations Capital down for decades! The most underrepresented business in DC! They are the first to bring real BBQ to the DMV!
Basic BBQ joint, but man do those wings hit!!!!! The ribs are perfect. I don't know what they do to get that weird, sweet-spice flavor in their sauce, but it's amazing and I can't imagine chicken wings without it. I have been coming here off and on for the last 25 years and will continue to do so as long as it stays in business. Anytime I'm in DC or PG county. I always roll through here.
This is still my favorite rib joint, but the food has been very hit or miss for the last few years. When it hits... IT HITS. But there have been several times where the ribs were super tough and under seasoned. I often have to re-cook and season my order when I get home.
