Me and my family drove an hour and half to get some cassava leaf with jollef rice and Egusi soup. The place we were planning on going to didn’t have any Egusi soup. We then started looking for places in the area and found this gem! We got the Egusi soup with FuFu. We also got cassava leaf. The food was by far some of the best authentic African food my family has had in a long time! The goat so tender! So glad we glad we went! Excited to go back and try other menu items!
I had egusi and pounded yam. Definitely the best I’ve had. Even had it delivered was still fresh and hot. I also had jollof to be honest the jollof was like a 5/10 not too good. It tasted and smelled a bit fishy not sure why but the egusi was ON POINT. I been looking for a place in the DMV with good food African food and this may be my new spot. I ordered from vegetable stew with Egusi and the Cassava leaf stew and they both were exceptional delicious and tasty. I also had the fried Red Snapper, and it was well seasoned and just as delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.?
