Fast, friend, and clean. I came for the hyped fish sandwich and I was not disappointed. The women was so personable and professional. It was so comfy in there. I love the interior. I did not expect to eat my lunch inside but I did. I have had plenty of fish sandwiches and this was the best by far and plentiful. I highly suggest it. Will definitely return!

So as it turns out the previous owners had sold the restaurant. And honestly good for them for their future endeavours but this place has definitely gone downhill. The food used to be great, nice environment but now, the woman at the front is very rude and ironically narcissistic for someone who is in customer service and hospitality industry and wants people to purchase food here. I would never come here if you want decent customer service; I was not able to try the food as repeatedly the food would sell out consecutively without awareness and no shame with their lack of apologies made. I was spoken to as if I was a little kid.

I ordered the oxtail dinner , it came with 2 sides, very large portions, reasonable price. And of course, I had to have a side of fufu. The food was absolutely delicious!!!! Wonderful staff!! I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.!!!

This new place is awful bad service and they wonder why some people don’t support black businesses. This is why I sat in there 20 minutes, waiting on my food while the young ladies talk to males at the front and give them their food before I got mine and then when I say something, they misplaced the ticket how convenient if you wasn’t been fast and people face little girls maybe be able to have my food this is one of the reasons I don’t support black businesses. Yes, I came in on Juneteenth 2025 to purchase the spinach stew only to arrive home to eat it and it was very nasty. It had chunks of peanut butter in it. I’ve been preparing this dish for years and never heard of peanut butter being added to it. There are new owners now, but I think you should sample your food before selling it to the public. $30.00 wasted.

They are new owners. I've been coming to Taste Buds for many years so I was a little skeptical about eating the food. I MUST SAY, I had a great experience with LaLa! She let me sample the brown stewed/curry chicken, cassava leaf, stewed spinach and they all taste the same!! LaLa and the gentleman serving the food was very nice and pleasant!

This was my first time trying out this spot and while the price of the oxtail is fair, it is definitely not worth it.
There were only 3 customers in the restaurant when I arrived it took a while to get my food. There were two women in the back that fixed the sides and the lady in the front served the meat. It took forever for the side to actually be placed in my container, and I waited a long time after the sides were ready because the lady who dealt with the meat walked off. And she was nice, but knowing that I plate is being made why walk off?
The rice and peas was very wet and mushy and not very flavorful. The oxtail was full of fat and also lacking flavor. I paid for a lemonade and never received it but I guess thats partially my fault for not double checking. Long story short, I will not be back.
