I go here often due to it being so close to the gym. Some days it’s hit or miss but I’m writing a review today due to the immaturity and lack of professionalism the teens in the establishment have. The manager always speak when you enter but once she walked back the service declines. I go to the pick up counter where a young lady is on the other side but talking about what school she and another customer went to. She literally stops her conversation looks at me and decides to go do something else instead of inquiring or getting my order so I could be on my way. I said excuse me I’m here to pick up an order and stated my name another young lady says it just came through and she would prepare it. I politely let her know I ordered it 30 minutes prior so that couldn’t have been my order that’s when the first girl who didn’t want to even acknowledge me decides she wants to chime in and say “ well it just came through so she is making it” I ignore her take out my phone and tell the young lady I was talking to that my pick up time stated 2:45 and it was 3:30 could she double check the order which the other girl who first didn’t want to acknowledge me laughs and says we just told you it came through” the other young lady finally decides to check the order and asks me if my last name was Smith which I told her no which happened to be the order she was working on which they all assumed was mine. She finally goes to the fridge sees my already made order and gives it to me. The young lady that I was addressing apologized but the one who originally didn’t want to acknowledge me then add extra to a conversation she first didn’t want to be apart is now back to acting like she is making a smoothie instead of acknowledging she was loud and wrong. No one forced you to apply to the job so yes people are going to expect you to do it and efficiently if you don’t want to work there. No one wants to deal with attitude especially when they do their due diligence to give an establishment adequate time. Better training should be applied because these teens are a representation of management and the establishment and overall it makes you not even want to go there if you have to deal with sassy attitudes for no reason other than immaturity.

Every time I get a smoothie from this spot the juice is running down the side of the cup. You'd think they'd care about presenting customers with a clean cup. Be sure to ask for extra napkins because you'll need them when handling smoothies from this location.

I ordered two smoothie and this is what I got. The smoothie is suppose to be a Chia Banana Boost with no sugar. They put the dates in here wholexwithout blending them up like WTH! And the other smoothie is a açaí berry boost but it is not blended AT ALL. I called the business no answer! This quality of a smoothie is pitiful.

I stopped by here over the summer. I was mistakenly charged twice for my order. I got in touch with corporate who got in touch with the franchise owners. They emailed me offering to fix the mistake and give me a free smoothie for my trouble. Because I’m not in this area frequently, I waited a month or so before returning to the store. I explained the situation to the manager on duty. She was extremely helpful (I wish I recalled her name - waiting again to write this and it escapes me now). Apparently they have a system where the owners copy them on emails when needed so she had record of the incident too. She did a wonderful job helping to remedy the situation in a manner which was easy to me as a customer and showed they cared about me as a patron. I had lunch while there this time around as well as a smoothie. Highly recommend the pesto chicken sandwich. It was delicious.

this is my first actual review of a business because every time i come here i have such a horrible experience i have to remember to never do it again. horrible service. everyone working there looks like they are being forced. they take forever to take orders. then they take forever to make the smoothies. i wait at least 15min for one simple smoothie every time. and to top it off the place smells disgusting like they clean with dirty mop water, if at all. the first time i thought they may have been having a bad day so i have it another try. 3 times in it is consistently horrible on every level. never again. and this is not my experience of other tropical smoothie locations, which are much more pleasant.

15 mins for a smoothie I never got and the manager or whoever she was. Was very rude when I asked for my smoothie or refund l! I will continue making the extra trip to Bowie to avoid this place!!

I actually have loved TSC, but as of tonight I'll no.longer visit this location. I stopped visiting for a while because I noticed the store smelled (like rotten fruit). I have been to other stores and they smell cleaner. I recently visited a couple times within the last year or so and again the store still smells. My visit before this one, I ordered a chicken flatbread and it barely had chicken - it was as if they put little scraps and bits of whatever was left in a bag of chicken. I was confused and didn't have the energy to drive back there. Today, I ordered a chicken flatbread again - this time, there was no lettuce at all. I didn't request anything to be removed. I'm done. I can longer visit this store. I hope they make a change for the better.

A scam! Beware of ordering "additions" to your smoothie!They cheat customers and are unapologetic for it, nor do they offer any solutions!I ordered a smoothie after my workout and added protein (for an extra charge of course). The worker pours my smoothie in the cup and I notice there’s like almost half of the smoothie she made left in the blender. I ask her if I can have the rest of it (since I did pay extra for the protein and wanted to hit certain macros) and she says no I’m sorry (very pleasantly), then proceeds to waste the rest of it when she washes the blender. I told her so now I’m only getting half of the protein I ordered? She looks at me with a smile and shakes her head like "I'm done with this situation and there's nothing left to say." I mean what kind of sense does that make to throw it away instead of giving the customer what they paid for? They aren’t losing any profits by doing so, it was wasted anyway! I’ll never ever go here again! Every other place (including Wawa) I’ve gotten smoothies they’ve always given me the extra left in the blender.If you want to make sure you get what you paid for, then this is not the place to visit!

So I was going to this location for about everyday for a month but today will be my last. One it's smells like wet laundry or something moldy not sure what it is but it it's terrible, I was willing to look past it since this was the closes tropical smoothie to me now and they have some decent things. Im not sure if it's a lack of training or direction but they need some serious help when it comes to making smoothies. Some people know how and others don't it's truly a roll of the dice every time. The customer service is terrible they barely speak to you in general no smiles never felt welcomed. Then they made my smoothie wrong in front of my face twice and didn't even apologize for there lack of whatever it is they are lacking. when I asked for my refund after wasting for 20 mins for a order I placed online and being late to work with nothing to show for it there was no kind of accountability it's comes off like they could care less and I'm sure that's the case.

Just look at the pictures and you will understand the reason for my rating. I was given this apple as my side and my chicken, bacon, ranch flatbread had 3 cube size pieces of chicken in it. The guy making this food would not want to eat this himself so why would he serve this to a paying customer.

Dirty tables and trash-laden environment. The employee prepping my green avocalada smoothie looked at it with disgust. My side apple was unwashed - still had the Granny Smith label on it. Did they wash what went into my smoothie? Unfriendly employees, inadequate communication during order placement. I will never return to this location.

Ok. Enough is enough. I am convinced this is not a chain restaurant. Let me tell you why? The Tropical Smoothie location in Ritchie Station Capital Heights MD is disgusting. The smoothies don’t taste the same. My daughter Bahama Mama with protein taste like paste. More protein than anything. Our breakfast sandwich should be sold as mini bites and not wraps. The wraps in Oxon Hill and Ft Washington are full size with healthy portions but here it’s children size with adult prices. This was our second and last time. We had to ask for refund today. Outrageous. Do better. Maybe take a day trip to the Oxon Hill location for training on how to make wraps and smoothies because what you are doing is NOT it.

Drive thru is the worst. Over 30 mins to order and then still had to wait long to get to the window. You will be stuck in line once you get in. If you got time it won’t be a problem for you.
