“Great local bar and pool hall with a jukebox in the back.
The spot has two pool tables, and the bartender poured some great drinks to get you a ripped for a fun evening.
Played a couple of games with some people and had a genuinely GREAT night.
It's definitely a valid low-key "chill spot" in Bmore.“

“Service was great and so was the food! Try the Bond St burger paired with a Duda's Lager rovzivica for something a little different but SO good!“

“Mount Royal Tavern is the epitome of a dive bar. 90% of its patrons are long-standing locals who have been coming there regularly for years to unwind their day with a drink or three. Always like a family environment. Always welcoming newcomers. The only food served is something very close to chips and pretzels but you're free to bring your own or get something delivered. Drinks are cheap. I mean CHEAP, but not diluted, with very generous servings. When it's warm, they often throw the grill on in the back and you never know if someone is serving fish that they just caught or just some hot dogs with a few others who've chipped in to do a potluck. This establishment has been around for decades. If you've ever seen Cheers, Mount Royal Tavern is definitely the Baltimore equivalent, but better.“

“Excellent experience! While my bestie was having brain surgery at Johns Hopkins I walked down to this neighborhood bar. I met the manger Dave and the bartender Merideth. Awesome people they listened to what I was going through and they were so kind and understanding. The environment is awesome and so is the clientele. Good music everything from punk, rock, and pop. But it definitely wasn’t to loud. A total non judgement zone. All different walks of life. Great pool table also. I will be visiting this bar every time I’m in Baltimore. This is definitely a hidden gem in charm city! Thanx Spirit Tavern!“

“Love it! It's a great place to hang with friends. This may be our new regular post bocce hang out.“
“This family owned business takes pride in great customer service. I had questions about tequila brands, and multiple members of there staff or should I say family- took the time to show me around, provided information about tastings, connected me with there social media site, and made recommendations for future purchases. Beyond this experience, I was informed of options for unlisted items; they were more than happy to supply a personalized request. There prices for commonly requested and top shelf brands are very reasonable. As an added feature, this establishment has a seated bar area and offers catering services. The environment is very laid-back, very professional and ideal for a neighborhood bar. If you're looking for a great experience I highly recommend you stop by and say hello.“
“Convenient neighborhood liquor store, the only one in the area open on Sundays! Friendly staff are always helpful. Good selection with reasonable prices.
Parking: Parking available on both sides of the street directly outside the store and lounge. Also, a couple of spots on the side of the building.“
“One of the friendliest dive/neighbor hood bars on Federal Hill! We were just visiting and they treated us like family. Stop in if you're in Baltimore.“

“Seats at the front bar are like a saddle for that "horse" feel. Quite a few draft lines serving good beer with clean lines and clean glasses. There can be live music and there's a back bar area which we didn't make it to. They pour a good Guinness.“
“Idle Hour is a Baltimore gem 💎
And when DJ Mudbone is on the 1s and 2s, it’s next-level. His deep crate picks and seamless genre-blending set the perfect vibe for a smooth, silky, and fun night. 🎶
🍹The Jungle Bird cocktail? Crafted to perfection, as always. Whether you’re here for the vinyl, the cocktails, or both Idle Hour never misses. Highly recommend!“
“Great atmosphere, music, fun people“
“They open at 6 a.m. and they close at 2 a.m., but be there before 1:40 am. They tend to close early due to regulations and fines. Don't show up at 1:50 am. Trust me, you won't get served!!! Also the store tends to be busy early mornings and Sundays.“
“Always a nice atmosphere for a couple of drinks,or in my case a bucket of Budweisers, at the most reasonable prices in town. I have to be honest I've been a frequent customer at the the Clipper Mill Inn so I believe I've kept the secret long enough.“
“Great Place for locals and those who happen to wander in there one night for which I’m both. Small, friendly, intimate spot with an old school feel. Cheap drinks and food complimented by pool tables, jukebox, karaoke, and great bartenders.“
“This is a legendary bar. If these walls could talk! It is probably the coolest hipster bar in the country.
I went there back in the day. It was a place where you could chat it up with John Waters and the whole Maryland Institute of Art scene.
Make the pilgrimage. It is a must.“
“This place is our go to every Monday and Friday night they have great specials and the regulars are fun, the bartenders are attentive and conversational. My group and my gf feel comfortable and safe here. It’s the perfect hole in the wall.“

“Very nice! The steak and cheese sub was one of the best I've ever had! Give it a try - it's not the old Morsbergers - but retains much of the Catonsville charm and ambience. Very well done!“
