Amazing salmon sliders. (I need the recipe) food was great. Hunter was super nice and we got to play slot games after dinner.
All the seafood was bland. I had a mixture of clams, mussels, crab legs and shrimp. The mussels and were horrible and the clams were not even fully complete because we got them still closed. The “old bay”That was provided to help with the flavor did not help. The soups wee ok at best but it was also the best thing the group had. The quesadillas didn’t have anything extra, just cheese with the meat you wanted. The service started out great but definitely slacked mid-way through. The location was great because its located on the water so the view was cool. I will never eat there again.

I came to Abner’s this evening thinking that I would enjoy some of the delicious crabs and was treated with disrespect and discrimination. I have been a customer for over a decade, driving an hour to and fro and I have never been treated like I was today. To make matters worse, I was told that the individual is the daughter in law of the owner. This lady spoke to me and my family as if we were trash. I am glad we have a video of the encounter.

I have always loved Abners. The crabs are always fresh, meaty and hot. The service is decent and you can get seating outside over looking the water. This place is a gem in Chesapeake and I go anytime I'm around!

Abner the owner refused to replace a severely damaged crab. He accused me of damaging the crab. I told him I don't steal and he should keep his crab. He said "that's why I don't want you people here"! As we were paying the bill, the police officer said Abner had a medical problem. We were very offended and vowed not to patronize the crab house.

Even though there were no other customers, they wouldn't seat me and my dog on patio. The fact the place was completely empty during lunch speaks volumes about what locals think of the place.
